    Nice little town, small grocery store that had better than expected selection and good prices. Municipal market that’s open every day. One vender who sells his local produce. Everything else can be bought in Vila do Bispo. Walking distance to the fantastic coast.

    Bordeira is one of the top beach in the world. We are coming to this region since 40 years and we have never enough . Sitio do forno is a simply spectacular position. Excellent basic Portuguese food

    It is a small village in the end of continent, we just love that this IS NOT hot touristic spot. Yes, you'll find find restaurants in and around, wide beach with small bar on it. But in the nigth there is only sound of wind and ocean, and that what we need on holidays!

    Lovely area and locals are nice and helpful. Easy to get around and there are some reasonable basic services available such as guesthouses, restaurants. I didn’t see a gas station, ATM or grocery market so plan to stop elsewhere for those.

    Very cute small village in the middle of paradise.

    Very cute small village in the middle of paradise. Super spot for hikers and nature lovers. There is a minimarket and some restaurants open even in out of season times. When I am back to Algarve, I am definitely coming to Carrapateira again.

    This is an extremely relaxing community with easy access to some of the most dramatic and beautiful natural features I have ever seen. Bordeira beach is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Amado beach is beautiful as well, but less dramatic and has more facilities. The village is quiet with several restaurants and plenty of parking for the beaches. There are countless hikes accessible directly from the village. Plenty of restaurants and snack bars

    Cozy place in Carrapateira while hiking the rota vicentina. There is a shortcut from the Lodge to the village center so it's very easy to go out or to the supermarket. Carrapateira is a magic small village! Definitely recommend staying here. Free laundry, tea, coffee available, and very well equipped kitchen. I wish the lady who manages the check ins was a bit friendlier, she doesn't speak much english and although a bit grumpy she was always available to help.

    This is NOT a commercial hotel, but a home...in every sense of the word. We were welcomed in, all our needs (charging electric bikes etc) were met with great love and care, and a great deal of hospitality...nothing was too difficult, even with language barriers...while not intruding in any way on our time. Coffee and breakfast facilities were great.

    Cute and cozy little hostel in the town of Carrapateira. The toilets were clean and the kitchen equipped, even with a dishwasher. The quotes about water sustainability sticked a bit everywhere were a fun and interesting addition!

    Flexible & friendly (early) check-in, much appreciated! Very clean. Deluxe room is big with lovely private balcony. Good value for money! Carrapateira is our favorite stop on the fishermen’s hike. Don’t miss microbar!
