Loved that there was an underground connection between the spa/pool and the hotel. We went specifically for the spa and were really impressed with the quality of the pool, sauna, steam room, and hamam. The treatments were wonderful, and the staff was very helpful at all times.
The bedrooms were beautiful with nice open windows and fresh air, and a massive bathroom with nice smelling products.
Surrounded by the perfume of the gardens and the pine trees, in the heart of Quinta da Marinha, next to the King D.

Everything was perfect — the room and the view were amazing, but the highlight was the staff. They were incredibly kind and welcoming, and truly made my vacation even more enjoyable. I also really enjoyed the breakfast, which offered a wide variety of options.

Cascais is a small city located on the outskirts of Lisbon. Once a fishing village and defence outpost, the royalty transformed it into a stylish summer resort. Mixing beautiful beaches, elegant mansions, imposing fortifications, and a wide variety of hotels, Cascais is a great option for every season.
King Luís II used the city as his summer residence from 1870 to 1908, attracting other celebrities, and changing the destiny of the tranquil village forever. Modern roads and railway lines linking to Lisbon and Sintra were built, as well as a casino and other facilities. Some of the best hotels and 5-star resorts in Cascais date back to these times.
Nowadays, the town is a cosmopolitan beach retreat along the Estoril Coast, where people from Lisbon and other Portugal cities come for a day or weekend escapade. Many foreign tourists prefer its more relaxed hotels over the sometimes hectic Lisbon atmosphere.
Don’t miss the Citadel, rebuilt during the 16th century in a typical star-shaped Renaissance style. Other attractions include the Museum of the Sea and the ‘Paula Rego House of Stories’.
Beach hotels are the gem of Cascais and you can find a wide range on Booking.com. Check your availability with enough time in advance, as the city remains a popular summer destination.

Cascais is a beautiful place to visit with a lovely walk along the beach into Estoril and I had a lovely facial in evolution hotel with Barbara. Another beautiful walk in Cascais is along the marina. Our favourite places to eat were Caffeine up at the Marina. On yellow street there is Soya Noodle, lovely food and staff. Taberna Clandestina (Italian food) there was an amazing atmosphere in this restaurant and the staff worked very hard. We had food in Gandhi Palace on Main Street and again food and people were excellent. Food and staff in Jardin dos Frangos was also very good.

Cascais is a beautiful old town with a wide range of restaurants/shops. There are 5 beaches within walking distance, most linked by the same promenade which also has bars/restaurantsso plenty of opportunity for fresh air. The trains run every 20 mins towards Lisbon, stopping at Estoril, Carcavelos and Belem etc en route so plenty of opportunities for days out. Busses also go to Sintra, where you can pick up the tourist train to the sites. The "slow route" goes via the lighthouse (and some very windy cliffroads but great if you want to be dropped off there, have a hike then come back) and the quick route heads up the bypass.
After a day out you will be ready for an evening stroll and dinner in one of the many restaurants (available in all price ranges/diets)
Enjoy!

Cascais is very picturesque, and quaint, small with a lot of character, definitely a town I would like to spend more time in. It's quite hilly and all pedestrian areas are cobbled which can be very slippery when it rains, make sure you wear good footwear. There's a lovely long walk from the beach area, past the marina and up to Boca do inferno, also a great cycling track which follows the road. Architecture is beautiful, lots of historical buildings. For cheap meals I ate at Auchan supermarket which is huge and has a cafeteria where you can eat or take food away...for people on a budget! Had a drink at Farol hotel which is superb but also expensive, good for anyone not travelling on a budget

Cascais is a beautiful place to visit.
Cascais is a beautiful place to visit. Lots of great restaurants and a wonderful market. Really walkable, with a great path connecting the beaches both towards Estoril and all the way out to Guincho beach. Hop on a bike or scooter and venture out to Guincho beach for the spectacular scenery and enjoy an excellent lunch of fresh seafood.

The location is great, in the middle of everything we could want. As I tried to post before, the pictures are accurate but don't show the front and bedroom windows. It's listed as first floor apt. but is really on the second floor & has an elevator with parking garage below. Jorge is the best...
we locked the keys in the apt. & he was there to let us in within 10 min. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend staying here.
We are very happy we chose Cascais over Lisbon; it's an easy ride into Lisbon & we would suggest taking N6, the coastal route :-)
Thanks for everything, Jorge!

Everything about the apartment was wonderful. Alex is a great host, pleasant and welcoming to all the family. We loved the location of the apartment, as nearby were some great restaurants and beaches. It was ten minutes to walk to the beautiful cascais town centre and a short drive to Lisbon. We had everything we needed including the pool which was greatly appreciated by our two children who spent many hours in it.
We would love to return one day.
Fizu is one of the friendliest guys you will ever meet. He was kind, warm, welcoming and had lots of tips and ideas. He tries to turn his hotel/hostel into a family house, and we think he completely succeeded. The rooms are nice. Breakfast buffet is excellent. There's even a small pool and several lounge areas. The location is great both for enjoying Cascais and exploring Lisbon, as the city center and the train station are within 10 minutes.
We really liked the hotel itself. Was everything a 5 star should be. Staff were very helpful and lots to do. You can use the 2 hotel pools too which was nice.
Breakfast in the morning was lovely, plenty of variety.
Shuttle bus to Cascais too if needed which was lovely.
Fantastic clean hotel in the best location in cascais.
Rooms were cleaned daily and all staff were brilliant!
Must have a sea view..
The breakfast and restaurant was 5 star and great value for money.
Would defo stay there again if i was headed to Portugal.
