Room is well set up for skiers with lots of hanging space above a wired and waterproofed luggage rack for storage. Was very hand for us non-skiers too! Room has a mini fridge (but no kettle or tea/coffee making facilities). Room is on smaller side, however it uses the space well and includes a small desk and chair for computing, etc. Air con worked well. Free wifi worked well. Lots of power points in the room. Is a couple of parking spots for unloading baggage out front of hotel. If you have a car or motorbike you can then park behind the hotel in their very large, free car park (ask the reception staff for the directions as parking is actually behind the hotel up the hill, directly outside the 7th floor. You press the intercom buzzer and they will let you in. Take stairs or lift to your room or reception from there. Is very easy once you have done it once. We had included breakfast and it was very good with lots of choices. Location is terrific; near a small park and cafe's and not far to walk to one of the main squares, etc. Would stay here again if ever back in the area.

We only stayed for one night. Rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. The bar is a nice place to spend the evening. Breakfast was really good.

Excellent location, a wonderful hotel attentive staff, brilliant food, what more do you want. We have stopped here usually for 3 or more days on our motorcycles. Prior booking is essential in the busy season

Staff.
The guys here were absolutely lovely. They spoke good English and were really friendly and helpful.
Check in/out
Very easy, no problems.
Parking
There's a big car park at the side of the hotel but fortunately we managed to park our motorcycle at the front of reception.
Room
The room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and the room light and airy. There was a balcony but no chairs to sit on.
Breakfast.
Excellent continental breakfast.
Located on the outskirts of the historical city of Covilhã, the Hotel Covilhã Dona Maria Affiliated by Meliá, offers stunning views over the Cova da Beira valley and surrounding mountains.

Good hotel in nice location.
A bit outdated, but decent.
Good breakfast, especially pancake machine.
Not enough greens for salad.
Nice eucalyptus smell in hamam sauna.
Just a 10 km from the ski slopes of Serra da Estrela, Solneve offers relaxing accommodation in the centre of Covilhã. Guests can benefit from free Wi-Fi.

The room and bathroom are clean, altough old. It matches expectations of a 3 star hotel.
It was a magical city!!! Perched on the side of a mountain with sweeping views. We felt very safe even at night. I left my wallet on a pharmacy counter and when I returned it was there. Every encounter I have with locals was very pleasant!!! For it being a college town I was surprised by how tranquil the evening were.

it is a lovely city, but be sure to visit by car. the streets are winding and steep. the views are lovely. there are several museums of interest, and they are free. the train to surrounding cities are clean, bright, and cheap. it is easy to get lost in the city. i love the various fountains.

Beautiful scenery, full of life!
Beautiful scenery, full of life! The people are extremely friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious, the souvenir shop at the top of the mountain has a lot of good things, and the prices are a little higher than in the city center. In the shop at the top of the mountain you can buy sheepskin products, leather and wool slippers, furs, and reasonable prices; you can also taste meat products, various sweet wines, cheeses, which is why these products are a little more expensive, but the price is only 1-2 euros more expensive. Of course, there are wines and cheeses in the small grocery stores in the city center, but it is not possible to try them. Unless you are very familiar with the taste of these products, it is better to taste them first. There is actually a Michelin restaurant here Laranjinha, which has been awarded Michelin since 2018, and the price is not expensive at all. It is very difficult to make a reservation online, but if you go to the site and arrive at 12:30 noon or 7:30 pm when it opens, you will always have a seat. Covilhã puff pastry dumplings, lamb shank stewed rice, cod scrambled eggs, and steak are all worth trying

An amazing small city located on a mountain.
An amazing small city located on a mountain. The city is separated into an older part and a more modern part which is located at the lowest part of the mountain. The city has a plethora of murals and street art and you can download a dedicated application where you can find where all the murals are located and have a self-tour. The old part of town has amazing buildings and you can get lost by walking in the small traditional streets. The restaurants are of high quality and all the food we tasted was simply amazing. I will definitely be coming back :)

Unfortunately when we were there for a 3 night stay the weather was poor on two of the days so I might say the stay was too long. Didn't visit the city at the base of the mountain. The village where the chalets are situated was very quiet with not much going on, we spent most of the spare time in the hotel which was nice.

The Pousada is perfect for a relaxing break.
The Pousada is perfect for a relaxing break. The views are incredible. The service is very good, made to feel welcome. You need to drive back down the mountain for restaurants etc but the Pousada has everything you want. The air is fresh and all you can hear are the birds, superb.

The staff is great and very helpfull.
The rooms are clean and spacious, and great shower, all very orgenizer and clean.
The location is good for the university, train and bus station.
The breakfast was very generous and tasty
Recommand a lot of staying in the hotel
Nice and clean place, room was spacious and had AC station to regulate by preference. Very diverse breakfast with proper espresso machine.
Hotel is close to the number of hiking trails as that was our priority.
Everything, for personal reasons we visit Covilhã once a month.
We always stay at Puralá.
There are cheaper hotels, which we have used in the past, and they are very nice but,
Puralá has the edge on them.
Nicely appointed hotel with spa indoor and outdoor pools, secure parking for motorcycles. Short walk into town for excellent meal as recommended by host.
