It is supposed to be a religious shrine, but the religious feel is ruined by tacky gift shops and noise in the basilica. The chapels in the church of the Holy Trinity provide a good space for private contemplation. Strongly recommended the Museu de Cera and the walk down the Via Sacra through the Olive groves to Aljustrel where you can see the cottages where the children Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta lived. It has many tourist attractions such as the shrine of the Virgin Mary's Apparition Square, candlelight prayers, the Way of the Cross, and the Museum of the Life of Jesus. I have been visiting Fatima for a few years now.
I have been visiting Fatima for a few years now. It has the calm and peace your soul desires - if you know what I mean It is one of those places, you can never get tired of visiting and have a chance to refreshed. Our Lady of Fatima blesses everyone who comes here, please do go. don't miss out on the evening rosary - so you need to stay the night there. Most hotels in the vicinity offer simple meals, and have everything you need. It is worth visiting as often as you can !Guest review byGonsalves
