It is a very old hotel. The whole property either gets warm air or cold air. Unfortunately, the hotel staff decided they were chilly and the entire hotel was set to heat. The hotel has AC but the entire hotel either gets AC or heat. If you are either hot or cold and not in the populous, prepare to be uncomfortable.

A vista do café da manhã e a acomodação são excelentes.
We loved the welcome and helpful staff. The room we had and views were excellent. we were able to extend our stay to go on a riverboat and steam train as well as visit Pocinho. The wine bar opposite the Museum was excellent and the Museum well worth a visit.

The Douro Valley is beautiful. Our stay was too short. The big thing I would encourage travelers to do is to make reservations and tour plans prior to visit. Wineries are often booked for bigger tours and not accepting drop ins.

We loved our stay. The family and staff are amazing! I can't emphasize how welcome we felt. The dinner was delicious and the port/wine parings lovely. They also arranged taxis for us on two occasions. Would love to come back.

Very friendly welcome but took a few minutes to gain access to the property. It was a 25 minute walk to the station but taxis readily available and affordable. Close to supermarkets.
Tio Manel restaurant in Regua was excellent - in terms of food quality, service and pricing.
Boat trips from Quayside to Pinhao and from there to a selection of Quintas. The Croft tour and tasting was very good - informative and good value for money.

It was the height of the tourist season (middle of August) and there was also a public holiday. The town was very busy and put quite a strain on restaurants and bars. Previous visits have been off season and the town copes a lot better, providing a more relaxed experience.
Our Regua apartment provided a tranquil escape with stunning views. Large windows allowed us to fully enjoy the breathtaking panorama of the Douro River and the nearby vineyards. While the train station kept the kids entertained, the apartment itself was surprisingly quiet, making for a relaxing stay. It was also well-equipped, clean, and the staff were incredibly attentive. We would definitely recommend this apartment!
Superb, modern, air conditioned, fully equipped and spacious apartment. The owners could not have been more helpful with questions I had about access and travel. Excellent door code system. Nice breakfast in local friendly bakery (brush up on your French!). We didn't need it but there was sufficient private parking at property and nice balcony. Regua is good base for exploring Douro region. Lidl closeby.
We were met at the condo by lovely Maria and her nephew Joao. The condo was much bigger than I expected and was absolutely spotless! Maria delivers the most delicious and plentiful breakfast at your requested time in the morning. Nice patio with a beautiful view of the Douro River and sunset! Would highly recommend! Thank you Maria for your wonderful hospitality!
The property was beautiful and a wonderful location. It was conveniently located for exploring the Douro Valley, and Regua had a nice selection of restaurants. Manuel was extremely helpful with all of our needs and made great recommendations during our stay. The breakfast was very nice every morning. Also, the room had a nice air conditioner which was nice.
Margarida was lovely and took excellent care of us.
The view from the room is priceless.
A lovely pool: clean and cold water helped us through the heat.
The facilities and suite design is lovely.
The location: 5 minutes drive from Pesua da Regua.
Luis gave us a very nice wine tour through the Winery and we bought some nice wines/port to take home with us.
This place is on the main road across from the boats. A temporary fair (with rides, etc.) was an enjoyable experience at night. The location allowed me to take side trips - Pinhao (train) and Lamego (bus). At the end of my stay, I was able to take one of the few buses from Regua to Lisbon. The staff was polite and met me on time for the key exchange.
We loved the property and the views of the Douro River and valley. The rooms were clean and comfortable and modern. We loved the historic feel to the property and the community room off of the pool where we could have a snack and a glass of wine, relax and even play games. The staff were very helpful and breakfast was plentiful and tasty.
I rate this a 20 out of 10 :). Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The breakfast was incredibly delicious and the staff was extremely accommodating and welcoming. Our family had plenty of space in our room and the grounds were beautiful and great for our kids to run around. Blown away at how nice it was and can't wait to come back!
This is a hidden gem in the Regua region. The whole property (the inn, views, vines, trees) could be from a novel! Each window was an amazing view, and each morning we had a lovely breakfast. We also had access to a small kitchen, which made picnicking on the property a must! Great location, near river, bridge and train station.
Amazing place! Beautiful architecture and lovely attentive service. I loved intimate feeling all over the hotel, public areas are really nice. And fabulous breakfast! Oh, and Antonio, wine tour guide was super nice and really loved his job. I would love to go back one day.
This place is simply wonderful - well-kept, clean, polished to perfection, and everything thought out. I've had 85 stays via booking.com, and this one sets an unsurpassed standard for many of my previous stays, both in Portugal and in other countries.
Interesting old town centre hotel for overnight stay, fully refurbished recently. Big and comfortable room (all rooms different) Quiet overnight so a good nights sleep.
It's the best place in Portugal! Thank you very much for your staff for our comfort and rest! We are very happy that we have rested in this place!!!! LOVE!
