We had an emergency with our baby, so we needed to find a solution for a hotel in Iasi right away. They understood the situation and accepted us to check-in at 7:30 in the morning, no questions asked. They were very friendly, the room was super clean.
We have been traveling a lot, at least 10 hotels pet year in the past few years and we usually choose 4 or 5 stars hotels. This one was cleaner than most. The bathroom looked perfect, the cheets and towels were impeccable, the room was decent size, same as any other 4 starts hotel, and the bed was very comfortable.

Polus Mall Area and Copou Area. I've tried menus from Veranda Terrace and recommend this location. It is easy to get around as there are multiple public transport means. Visiting museums and churches is one of the great activities for me.

The city was wonderful a lot of museums and places to visit from Palace of Culture, painted old churches byzantine style, as well as the literature museums of the prominent Romanian poets. I personally visited "Ion Creanga" historical house. It is good to explore the city walking. The city is beautiful and green. A lot of places to sit down and drink a coffee.

I have a special connection with Iași.
I have a special connection with Iași. I simply enjoy being there and I try to go every so often. I like the vibe of Copou with all the students and the beautiful buildings and the parc, I like the beautiful Lăpușneanu street with the small bookshops, I like the Ștefan cel Mare boulevard, I like the Palas area, you get it :)
I like the attitude of the people, it feels like they're warmer somehow. I don't know if it's because I'm from the same region, but in the other cities in the region I don't feel the same way.
Iași has a rich history and culture. The first university in Romania was established there in 1860. The second one in Bucharest came 4 years later. Many writers and poets were born or lived there and it's like you can feel that when you walk on its streets.

The palace of culture was absolutely incredible, as well as the main street leading up to it. The main university's campus had a pleasant ambience, with many cute cafes littered around the city. I certainly recommend all the museums to see there and other historical sites.
While the outer landscape is a remnant of post-communism, the rich history of Moldova is proudly visible and unique.

Iași, often called Romania’s “Cultural Capital,” is a city full of history, charm, and youthful energy. It’s a place where centuries-old traditions meet a lively modern vibe, thanks to its many universities. One of the must-see landmarks is the stunning Palace of Culture, a gorgeous neo-Gothic building with museums that dive into art, history, and more. The Metropolitan Cathedral, Romania’s largest Orthodox church, and the elegant Vasile Alecsandri National Theatre are also highlights. For a peaceful stroll, Copou Park is perfect, especially under the shade of the legendary “Linden Tree of Eminescu,” dedicated to Romania’s greatest poet. The city has a warm, welcoming feel, with cozy cafés, vibrant squares like Union Square, and a mix of old-world charm and buzzing artsy energy that makes it hard not to fall in love with Iași.

Wonderful old fashioned “grand” hotel. Central. Breakfasts were strange but adequate.
As Romanians don’t seem to “do” health and safety the fact that there is an approach to the entrance of approximately 20 steep steps with no handrail is a major negative and a real issue for anyone disabled ( I am). Similar situation inside - no handrails alongside internal steps. This hotel is not alone. Several restaurants visited had similar issues with, for example, no handrails or banisters alongside steps!
It was my first time in Iași. I got my GPS not working. But the hotel owners found me in the city and we went to the hotel together.
I found my room clean. It was possible to prepare food yourself in the room. I found an internet connection fast and stable.
The are snack and drink automate near entrance and beautiful cafe close to hotel. We spend an hour in this cafe with owner and his wife. The coffee was very tasty and conversation pleasant. Thank you a lot.
We booked the accommodation last minute as Iasi was our last stop before ending our road trip in Romania. The host has been extremely nice and helpful, providing us with all the information we needed. The flat was amazingly comfy and beautiful, the surrounding was quiet and very nice as well. Thanksa lot for everything Claudiu 😊
The room was clean and spacious, good breakfast, and was close to the city center and Iasi airport. Parking is in front of the hotel and there is also a parking garage on-site.
