First Hotel Planetstaden, hotel in Lund

Located a 10-minute walk from central Lund, this modern hotel is 5 minutes’ drive from the Botanical Gardens and Lund University. WiFi is included.

Unfortunately, my recent stay at the hotel was thoroughly disappointing, and I struggle to find any positive aspects to highlight. The cleanliness was completely inadequate, with both the room and common areas appearing neglected and dirty. The bed was also very uncomfortable, contributing to a poor night's sleep. The breakfast offered was below standard, with unappealing options that did not meet expectations. Moreover, the service was lacking; the staff appeared uninterested and unresponsive to concerns. Overall, there was nothing to commend about this stay, and I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.

Lund is a charming city in southern Sweden.

Lund is a charming city in southern Sweden. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful botanic garden. Lund has walkable city center and a friendly student atmosphere. Lund is a great place for students looking for a vibrant and historic city or tourists wanting a beautiful and safe base to explore the region.

Lund was basically a college town, and very old college town. Lund University was established in 1666, one of the oldest and most prestigious Universities in Nordic Europe. Lund is a very cozy town, with three Systembolaget (only place we can buy wines). The headquarters building of the university was gorgeously beautiful. The Faculty of Sociology of Law (independent from the Faculty of Law) accpets ca. 400 students every year. One of the must-visit places is the Lunds Domkyrka (Cathedral), which was build in 1145. Every place is within walking distance from the Central Station. Lund is about 40 minute-train-ride from the Copenhagen Airport and 10 minute-ride from Malmo. Malmo is also one of the cozy town you must visit and enjoy (a little larger and more modernaized than Lund).

Lund is a pretty medieval city with a lot of history.

Lund is a pretty medieval city with a lot of history. I was inly there for less than a day, so bot a lot of detail, but: - the domkyrka is worth seeing (special mention of the crypt and the astronomical clock) - Kulturen is very well presented - it's a sgame i didn't gave time to see the outdoor part - the botanical garden is very nice - food-wise: I recommend Saluhallen and Broder Jakobs Bakery in Klostergatan, and I also enjoyed the salad i got from Waynes Coffee I would not recommend visiting Lund on a Sunday afternoon, though- a lot of interesting places will be closed. Lund is quite walkable and has good bike paths.

Nice cozy town to walk around, even in wintertime.

Nice cozy town to walk around, even in wintertime. In the spring, however, everything blooms, and it's even more charming. Visit Sankt Hans Backar for an overview of the city and don't miss the botanical gardens. When you get tired you can relax and enjoy Swedish fika in one of the many cafes or pastry shops.

The hotel is charming and the staff are generally really nice. Lund is beautiful and there are plenty of nice restaurants in the immediate area around the hotel. We ate lunch in the hotel restaurant which was nice but also a bit pricey. The parking facilities are a bit away from the hotel, but they worked well and were cheap. However we were never informed of the option of entering and exiting through another hotel which made the whole thing a bit bothersome since my husband does not walk very well.

Excellent hotel in the centre of Lund. The room was very large and perfect for our stay. We had a small kitchen with all the necessary cutlery and appliances, which we very much appreciated as a family. Walking distance from all you need in terms of sightseeing, supermarkets, etc. The street the hotel is on is lively, however we could still sleep at night without problems. Excellent breakfast, the employees were also very friendly.

Very friendly staff, both in the Pub and the hotel (breakfast), great room and facilities. Checking-in took place in the Pub next-door by very friendly staff. We decided to have our dinner there as well. They had nice pub-food on the menu and a surprisingly large set of draft beers! The breakfast was a typical Swedish, well sorted breakfast buffet. We were enchanted by Lund as a town and decided to stay for another night.

Firstly the owner was super reachable, always replied fast. I have chosen this apartment instead of staying in a hotel in order to feel local vibes. the studio was spacious and cozy. I did not use the kitchen much but there were all amenities in it. it is possible to use the bicycle with the key which i wandered around the city by bike all the time. the neighbourhood was peaceful and safe like rest of the city.

I loved spending a night at Magles Smiley Inn. Self check-in was effortless, the room and building were clean and boasted thoughtful touches. I especially appreciated the morning breakfast and conversations with fellow travelers and the host. You can't beat the price or the convenience of being centrally located in the heart of Lund.

It was a great price for what we got for the stay, especially in Sweden. It is super convenient- just dont follow the route Google provides, theres a much better shortcut ot the place and makes it a great place to stay, with supermarket close by and the bus stop that connects to the city centre.

This was my third stay at Hotell Oskar. I love this hotel, it's very cute and cozy. I always try to book one of their garden rooms, and the garden is beautiful at this time of year. Breakfast at the nearby cafe is always super nice, among the best I've had in Sweden!
