I arrived late from Budapest, and got to the hotel at 9pm. The staff was extremely accommodating and immediately welcomed me to the hotel. I was seeking a location to eat dinner, and was offered a phenomenal steak with pasta strips. It was, by far, the best meal I had eaten in my seven days of touring Slovenia and Hungary. I would absolutely recommend this hotel, and the dining room is beautiful and comfortable.

Amazing location and the breakfast was delicious. Hosts were extremely helpful and gracious. We had the breakfast brought to the house and would definitely recommend the breakfast outside with a view. Would 100% recommend. (We also loved the dog).

We were looking for a hotel in the green mountain area between Trieste and Zagreb with charm and comfort…this hotel was just what we were looking for. The view from our room was “right off a postcard” with a balcony and clean, comfortable room and beds. Dinner in their outdoor dining area was very good and breakfast was plentiful, fresh, with a variety of food to choose. The staff topped it off…friendly and accommodating. The experience was what we were hoping and looking for.;

Kranj is a small city in the heart of Slovenia It has lots of old world charm with a downtown market. Lots of shops and cafes. All of which you can walk to. The surrounding area has a number of attractions. Lake Bled has an island with a chapel. It also has a castle high on a cliff. Down the road in Kropa there is a Blacksmith museum that documents the economy of nail making for the last 400 years, Kovaski Muzej. You can find more information in the MAPS app.

Kranj is a charming, peaceful town that offers a great balance between local authenticity and easy access to Slovenia’s main attractions. The village atmosphere feels genuinely Slovenian; quiet streets, traditional houses, friendly neighbors, and a relaxed pace that makes it a pleasant base for exploring the country. Its central location is one of its strongest points, giving you quick drives to Ljubljana, Bled, and Piran. Kranj (pronounced Kran as in ‘ran’) is a friendly and peaceful little town. You could really see all the sights on a day trip but we found the fresh mountain air and unhurried atmosphere very relaxing on a three night stay. The visit to the tunnels was very interesting as you learn something of Kranj’s history. In summer there will be special events on Fridays with food stalls, music, and other events.

Small town with a lot of historical buildings to see and...

Small town with a lot of historical buildings to see and stories to hear, also the tunnels built in the 2nd world war. There is beautiful nature in (rivers Kokra and Sava) and around it that you can visit. I was there two years in a row in September and each time we had a shorter option of a guided tour. Only the tunnels were the same, other parts of tour were totally different - in a small city!

Beautiful small Old World Town.

Beautiful small Old World Town. Off the normal tourist path, so not crowded! Charming. Easy to walk around. Local pub had live music! Stayed just one night (before our flight) - could easily have stayed longer if our schedule had permitted.

Kranj is perfectly positioned city.

Kranj is perfectly positioned city. It is very close to highway, it is close to mountains (25min from ski resort) and is only 2h drive from the sea. It has beautiful old town. The capital, Ljubljana is only 30min drive.

Very good hotel with very warm and helpful staff and owners. I unfortunatly had to see a doctor on a day where everything was closed during my stay in the hotel and the owners went out of their way to help me during that time, and drove me to see a doctor, not only once but twice the same day. Very warm and helpful, and for that I am very grateful. Thank you so much for the help, I highly recommend the hotel, it is a very beautiful hotel with not only helpful staff but also funny and warm. Wish we could have stayed longer :)

This hostel was the best we've stayed at on our journey through Slovenia. The location is excellent, right in the center of Kranj's old town. Our room was spacious and with a gorgeous view over the mountains and the "forest" around the Sava River. The staff was very welcoming and excited to meet us and find out more about our time in Slovenia. The shared balcony downstairs is a great way to start your day or just relax.

We loved our stay at the B&B! The host was greeting us immediately when we arrived and was sharing many suggestions to explore Slovenia! The breakfast was extensive and delicious with fresh ingredients every day. The location is absolutely superb and you can easily reach many different locations by car. There is also a bus stop very close to the house if you are traveling by public transport (20 minutes from Ljubljana).

Close to centre of Old Kranj. Good apartment security. Good size apartment. Comfortable bed and bed settee. Good but noisy air-conditioning. Good bathroom size. Good shower. Great washer drier machine. Lots of storage space in room and bathroom. Very good induction hob cooker. Good ventilation through large tilt and turn windows.
