The room was very clean and comfortable. Despite the hotel is next to the road it has really good soundproof windows and it’s quiet. SPA was perfect, there are 3 saunas, hamam and jacuzzi. Breakfast is delicious.

Capital With a Small Town Feel

Charming and compact Bratislava is the world’s only capital city bordering two countries, Austria and Hungary, and centers around the beautiful Danube River. South is the modern city and a peaceful forest, but the real Bratislava attractions are over Novy Most (New Bridge), an impressive structure with a UFO-like pylon. The castle on a rock overlooking the Old Town offers the best views of it. The rock itself has a Jewish cemetery and a literally underground club.

Across the street, St. Martin’s Cathedral was the coronation site of past Hungarian kings. The cobbled streets behind are lined with outdoor restaurants and bars. The city’s specialty is treska, a cold cod salad, washed down with white wine from the nearby Small Carpathian mountains.

The main square is Hlavne namestie, home to pastel-colored buildings, a 14th-century town hall housing the city museum, and the Bratislava Christmas markets. Hodzovo namestie square features the Peace Earth sculpture and Baroque Grassalkovich Palace, the presidential residence guarded by the Slovak National Guard. Across the park is the Archiepiscopal Palace, seat of the government. All around are many Bratislava hotels, B&Bs and apartments available on Booking.com.

Before heading to Bratislava Airport, visit Kamzìk TV tower, whose revolving restaurant and observation deck offer magnificent city views.

Beautiful city, which is like going back in time. every corner you turn you see something else spectacular. would recommend everyone to go there. Meet point food market was the highlight of where we ate, a little way out of the town but so many options and absolutely delicious food.

We were on our fourth visit so had seen many of the main sites but would recommend the city museum and the Slavin war memorial , a walk around the old town to look at the churches and architecture. There are also wonderful nature walks/ cycle rides across the Danube and in nearby forest trails. Devin Castle a bus ride away is also worth a trip.

Not a large city.

Not a large city. Need to have other plans if staying more than 24hr. Boat to Vienna for a day trip looked great. Prices v reasonable we got good quality and portions for under £20 in the middle of the tourist centre. Shopping centres are shiny and new. Buses and trams need some careful working out. Timetables sometimes differ from those suggested by third party sites on line. Information centers seem to be finding their feet with enquiries. Info at bus station you need a ticket for the queue, machines are not always clearly marked. Travel on public transport cheap and okay if you are able to walk. Taxi might serve those less happy to walk. We did use Bolt and private taxis from hotels. All reasonably priced, clean and safr.

An amazingly beautiful, underrated city, which has all the charm and elegance of Vienna, but without the high prices or excessive tourism. It is clean, full of historic attractions and benefits from the delicious food and peaceful atmosphere of a Central European city. Highly recommend.

We had previously stayed in Bratislava two years before so...

We had previously stayed in Bratislava two years before so this time we had a more relaxing time. We caught the train to Vienna four times (it was Eurovision after all!),to Trnava and Budapest. Previously we also visited Brno in Czechia, Trenčín and Čachtice. Basically a lovely city and a great base for exploring nearby. Wonderful souvenirs and some excellent bars.

A very nice business hotel in the Petržalka part of Bratislava, if you need to stay near Tyršák or simply not in the city centre and park your car somewhere. It is a nice 3 star hotel, quite simple but also comfortable. It was clean and had everything we needed for a 2 nights business trip. Would recommend.

Great location! Only 5 minutes from the Bratislava main station. Walking to old town only takes 20 minutes. Also, there are many public transport option right outside of the hotel. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable and very decent size.
