Attractively situated in the Hai ya district of Chiang Mai, Asa Hotel is situated 1.4 km from Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, less than 1 km from Chiang Mai Gate and a 18-minute walk from Chedi Luang Temple....

The rooms are modern and thoughtfully designed with large windows. They come with a small fridge as well as a TV that has access to Netflix and YouTube. A real standout is the bathroom – it easily meets high standards, and the shower, in particular, is a true highlight for anyone who’s been traveling around Asia for a while. Housekeeping is done daily, and impressively fast and thorough. In the lobby, you can help yourself to free coffee, tea and cold drinks (water and juice) at any time, which naturally leads to nice conversations with other guests or the incredibly friendly staff. A special shout-out goes to Mimi and Muay – they were always there to help with anything we needed. Honestly, if I ever opened a hotel myself, I’d want them definitely on my team! There’s a great selection of tours available and plenty of local tips for activities and restaurants in and around Chiang Mai. The laundry service is reliable and thorough, and there’s also an express option available for a small extra charge. The location is perfect, especially if you’re renting a scooter – you’re on the main ring road around the Old City in under 30 seconds, so you can get anywhere quickly. And if you’re walking, it’s just a 10-minute stroll to the Old City. The pool isn’t huge, but it’s always spotless, and the lounge chairs and seating area make it a great place to relax and unwind. We’ll definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Chiang Mai! Easily one of the best value-for-money stays I’ve had anywhere in Thailand.

Set in Chiang Mai, 100 metres from Chiang Mai Gate, Phor Liang Meun Terracotta Arts offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a restaurant.

Phor Liang Meun Terracotta Arts Hotel is truly a visual masterpiece. The architecture is absolutely breathtaking—unique, striking, and true to its name, it feels like a terracotta arts sanctuary. Every detail reflects artistic elegance and thoughtful design. The location is ideal—tucked just behind a vibrant local evening street food market, giving you a taste of Chiang Mai’s culture right at your doorstep, while still offering a peaceful retreat inside the hotel. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, with a lovely balcony and a great view. The swimming pool was beautiful and made for a perfect spot to unwind. The staff were wonderful—friendly, thoughtful, and always ready to help. The food was fresh, delicious, and offered with a great variety each morning. As a sweet gesture, we were even gifted a charming keychain souvenir at checkout—a small but meaningful touch that made the experience even more memorable. This hotel combines art, comfort, and warm hospitality in the best way. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chiang Mai and would definitely stay here again!

Looking for a hotel with pools?

‘Does it have a pool?’ is arguably one of the most common questions when booking a stay in any location. These hotels offer a great way to keep active during your holiday without having to hit the gym. Indoor pools allow you to practice your backstroke come rain or shine, whereas outdoor options allow you to relax on a sun lounger after swimming a few lengths.
