Nice room, great breakfast and lots of choices. Right on walking street. Even if you didn’t want your room cleaned the housekeepers still left bottles of water and more toilet roll at your door which I thought was really good.

Koh Lipe used to be an amazing quiet paradise, world class diving, authentic food. We had not been back in a few years and was shocked at the change. Now it is a lively place, drug cafes everywhere, food more for tourists, and the dive sites crowded with most of the coral dead. It is a shame that everything has developed without control.
It is still a nice place to visit, but for a short stay, diving no longer worth the hassle and very expensive. There are many crowded areas, so long gone is the tranquil paradise.

Beautiful little island in the south of Thailand.
Beautiful little island in the south of Thailand. Not the easiest to get to.
Main Street is walking street with shops, restaurants, massage parlours etc.
Highly recommend the sunset cruise.
Avoid Zodiac bar, it’s just full of kids that think it’s the place to hand and you can’t even see the sunset from the stone seating.

We stayed 5 nights and it was a perfect length of stay.
We stayed 5 nights and it was a perfect length of stay. I thought Lipe would be very unspoilt as it seemed a long trip to make from Krabi. But I was surprised to see how developed it was when we arrived. We were there in March and it was OK but people told us that earlier in the season it gets really busy. Don't expect Paradise Lost, but its got the best turquoise seas and beaches.

This is an island with beautiful nature that we have known for many years.
Unfortunately, many things are being done wrong and things are looking pretty bad right now. It is overbuilt and in many places there are extremely unpleasant views of piles of garbage, construction materials and many other things that one does not want to see in such a beautiful place.
Each tourist is charged a nature conservation fee of 200 Baths but I definitely think that not much is being done to preserve nature and it is not clear where this money goes.
It's not pleasant at all when you go to dive on the beach in front of your spot and you see bottles, hoses, old cables, including discarded motor parts and an even entire boat engine on the bottom. It's high time the locals understood that the highly inflated hotel prices combined with this mockery of nature cannot continue indefinitely.

Great island with everything a 30min walk or less .
Great island with everything a 30min walk or less . It is a chill out location just to enjoy life passing by . The scenery is amazing and pace is slow . Such a wide variety of fabulous food to suit all tastes and pockets. The biggest challenge is the immigration when you arrive as it takes a while to get through and waiting on luggage from the Ferry from Langkawi.

If you like crowded overpriced places , with beaches and water packed with longboats and streets full of shopping .restaurants and side mopeds zooming up and down . Then this is the place for you . The sand is white and there is a local feel in places particularly if you get away from the main beaches but the island has lost its soul years ago and has a lot of rubbish. The locals are more friendly and less business like compared to other places in Thailand .
Snorkelling is good if you hire a boat to go out and you can rent kayaks .
Shame you pay 200 baht when you land that goes no where to protecting the reefs or the island

The staff couldn’t do enough for us and were extremely friendly. We had a La carte breakfast rather than pay the extortionate amount that booking.com wanted, it was lovely, tea, coffee & chocolate is free all day for guests. The position of the hotel is superb, we started with a superior garden room, which was large and spotlessly clean, then moved to a seafront bungalow, which was dated, but clean and the view just made up for any faults. The hotel loan out snorkelling equipment, which was a nice extra.
Staff were absolutely fantastic! Being a smaller island and resort, the service was personalised. Our little boy was greeted and looked after so well by staff, nothing was ever a hassle.
Fantastic location, we would get up and watch sunrise, see the monks walk along the beach and receive donations from hotels and give blessings then enjoy a long breaky and chats with other guests. Short walk to walking street, mini marts located just outside the hotel and again we're lovely people.
We really enjoyed this hotel and were pleasantly impressed. It offers great value for money. Everywhere in Ko Lipe is expensive but this hotel is great for what it costs. Rooms are perfectly clean, comfortable bed and the hotel is 5 minutes walk from walking street. The staff is very nice and you get a wonderful breakfast in the morning. I will not hesitate to recommend it!
The best hotel so far in ko lipe!!!
We actually arrived here after spending one night at mali resort which was a nightmare to us!!
Idyllic hotel is really the best, starting with the staff in which they are amazing, the restaurant, very clean and new/renovated rooms!
After Agoda left us stranded due to not sending our reservation to our original hotel, we were almost left stranded. We were able to get an apartment here for the night and it was a really nice place and very comfortable
