Great resort with incomparable atmosphere and comfort. The best hotel so far on Unguja’s east coast, Jambiani. Every detail here is so beautiful and creates very relaxing mood - you will not regret it despite of the price ;)

You can’t beat the location and views. The room was simply lovely, and the bed was so comfortable. Every time I’ve eaten in the restaurant, I got the same dish for lunch/dinner. But I absolutely love it. Try the chicken teriyaki if you get the chance!

This is place was so much more then we expected. The bungalows are beautifully located at the beach with modern and clean facilities. The view was spectacular and the service exceptional. They greeted us with our names and made the stay feel very personal. We had a private bungalow with its own private little roof terrace with view. The breakfast was brought directly to your own little housefront with view on the ocean. Overall 10/10!

Located a 7-minute walk from Paje Beach, Dragonfly offers 3-star accommodations in Jambiani and has an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a terrace.

The breakfast was included and was amazing! It also was so close to the beach and just a quick 5 minute walk. They also have a partnership with another place located in the beach where we were able to use their beach chairs and order food with a 10% off discount. It is also located close to a lot of fun restaurants, and has food that you can order there too if you are not wanting to go out. The pool is also really nice and great for hot days or even night swims.

The wait staff were amazing. Property is secluded and off the beaten path. Small misunderstanding and upcharge with management which felt like they were more interested in money than guests but it was ultimately resolved satisfactorily. Would highly recommend.

    Dear Team, It was a fantastic stay in the newly built Sea Facing apartment. We received excellent service on arrival from Saidi at Guest Relations. He made every effort to get us settled, answered all our questions, and ensured that our stay was pleasant and comfortable. Mohammed, the Food and Beverage Manager, went above and beyond his duties to ensure we enjoyed our meals. He even arranged a special fish dinner for us — his attention to detail was truly superb! The only suggestion we have is regarding the bath and beach towels — they could be replaced with softer, fluffier ones to enhance the overall experience. We are confident this can easily be addressed. A big thank you to all the staff for their warm greetings... Jambo! :) Until next time! Best regards, Kurt and Trudy Winter South Africa

    Jambiani Beach in Zanzibar is known for its pristine, powdery white sand that stretches for miles along the turquoise Indian Ocean. The beach is soft, clean, and perfect for long walks, sunbathing, or relaxing under swaying palm trees. At low tide, the water recedes, revealing sandbanks and tidal pools, creating a breathtaking landscape. The peaceful atmosphere, with fewer crowds than other Zanzibar beaches, makes it an ideal spot for a tranquil getaway. Plus, the crystal-clear waters are great for swimming, snorkeling, and kite surfing!

    Nice little village with several interesting hotels (including our superb one, the Fun Beach), lots of activities possible, like boat trips, snorkling, fishing, horseride hiking and numerous caves (!) in the environment, which are really woth the visit. Windsurfing - great ! And the beack bars for enjoyable afternoons and evenings,really great !

    What stands out is the locals.

    What stands out is the locals. Their endless positive attitude has permanently changed my view on things. While they have little to nothing, they are always smiling, while we, who have so much are more or less burdened with worries and a permanent frown on our faces. My wife crashed a Muslim wedding and instead of being frowned upon, she was invited to join in the singing and dancing.

    Jambiani is a beautiful local village - the ladies and children are fully clothed - I feel it is important that female tourists show respect and also cover whilst walking through the village - the beach is where to wear swim gear.

    The buildings leading to the resort were not so great. We experienced shock when we got to the hotel. They should consider modernizing the places around the resorts It was safe to walk at night, we managed to walk to Jambiani plaza for dinner and it was safe

    Our vacation at the hotel in Jambiani, Zanzibar, was absolutely fantastic. The breakfasts were delicious, with a wide selection of fresh fruits and local specialties. The view from our room overlooking the ocean was incredible, and the sound of the waves was very soothing. The rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere. The hotel staff was very friendly and always ready to help. This place is perfect for a relaxing getaway, and we will definitely return in the future!

    Ahmed and his staff were always friendly and happy to help and provide advice. The rooms were cleaned and tidied everyday. The restaurant has one of the best views in Jambiani and one of the best quality with fairly priced items on the menu, I didn't feel the need to look anywhere else for food or drinks. The hotel is located in a very calm part of the beach, you could hear the waves and wind all day long which was perfect to relax.

    In July 2024 we spent 5 nights at the S&S hotel . It was the perfect location for us to relax after our Safari and hiking trip. Great location right at the beach with unbeatable views. All staff members are super friendly, the food is amazing and fresh, the entire hotel kept clean all day, comfy beds. Jambiani had a few restaurant options (Pishi) if you want to go out. We had room 10 with 240 view on the ocean.

    Fabulous place to stay in Jambiani Zanzibar. Love the pool and all the facilities. It's right on the beach which is a huge plus. Breakfast was a treat. Dinner is good but not amazing. I recommend checking out the bento foodcourt in Paje as a dinner option of you don't travel 10mins by car.
