There is many choices when you are visiting Boise-there are outdoor activities-floating the gorgeous River , hiking, camping to skiing/snowboarding in the winter. The climate is always pretty great and there are many options of things to do. They have increased the multiple entertainment options-music in the park, and downtown on the Grove to many different venues of entertainment-from Broadway , lectures, artistic opportunities to do hands on and also to appreciate and take in. There are many dining opportunities for whatever your taste is. Have a variety of places to hang out and get a drink-one of the best places to get a drink and some very great food is Gil's K-9-especially if you like seafood cocktails or their weekend breakfast! The Riverside is a wonderful place to stay with many options that you almost could just have a very relaxing vacation without leaving the property. There are many cultural things to do in and around the the Treasure Valley-there are walking tours, wine tours, the Basque museum and so many places in and around Boise to explore and enjoy.

I always thought It would be dirty and boring.
I always thought It would be dirty and boring. Not true at all. Even with the homeless population the city was clean and rarely saw garbage anywhere. The parking garages and paid meters were reasonable.. The restaurants were amazing although pricy. There is so much to do that's free and even the things you had to pay for were not expensive. I look forward to exploring even more as 5 days was not enough to enjoy all this city has to offer. Live music.. hiking.. tours of old buildings...zoo...so much:)

We went to a wonderful little restaurant called Willow Creek Grill and a wonderful hike the following morning close to a golf course that provided a view of the city. Great for the dog before continuing on the road that day. Loved Boise.

Boise is a nice place.
Boise is a nice place. It’s easy to drive around the city without stressing. Downtown is a fun area with lots of restaurants and shops. I recommend the Birds of Prey Sanctuary. It’s a few miles out but not very far at all. Definitely worth visiting.

The staff was adequate.
The staff was adequate. We first noticed the puke on the carpet as we got out of the elevator. Called the front desk and they informed us they knew of it but hadn't had time to deal with it. Understandable. Hours later they still hadn't. GROSS!!!! They weren't THAT busy! Half full at best guess. Had broken glass on the bathroom floor. The shower had good water pressure but was almost impossible to reset the temperature to a comfortable setting. Either you froze or got scalded. Stayed for several days and never received any fresh towels, Called the front desk to request more They gave us two towels. We were a party of three. There are plenty of cheaper flea-bitten hotels to stay at for less money for the level of comfort and price they charged.. Also, their web page boast of an on-site restaurant, THERE IS NO RESTAURANT. The breakfast consisted of make-your-own waffles, no cereal, eggs, nor meat of any kind. basically great if you want to eat waffles and nothing else. Overall a disappointing experience for the money we paid. If I could give a minus Number for a review I would do so. Stay at a Holiday Inn Express and save yourself the grief.

You can reach downtown in just 10 minutes by bus from the hotel, and it is at a walkable distance of less than 20 from the very center of the city. Besides, the hotel has a very nice swimming pool + hot tub combo that has made my day when coming back in the evening after walking + sightseeing or working. But, what I have really appreciated is the kindness of the girls at reception. They have been nice, attentive and very reachable at all times.
Good breakfast. Staff at breakfast was helpful and they kept all foods well stocked. Perfect location for us to easily get to other destinations in Boise.
