FAQs about hotels in Boston

Where Everybody Knows Your Name

One of the oldest and most historic US cities, Boston is known as "America’s Walking City". In its heart, next to 18th-century Faneuil Hall, is Quince Market - a food haven. In the nearby seaport, you can take a whale-watching trip or dine at one of the many restaurants serving a Boston specialty: lobster with melted butter.

The streets south of the peaceful Charles River in Back Bay are lined with Victorian brownstone houses. At the downtown end of one – Beacon Street – is the Cheers bar, modeled on the 80's sitcom. Opposite is Boston Common, a large park with a bronze sculpture celebrating the book "Make Way for Ducklings". The golden dome of the House of Representatives is by the other end.

The oldest part is Charlestown and streets around the Bunker Hill obelisk still feature old-style gas lamps, though now they are electric. Over in Cambridge, Harvard is the USA’s oldest and most prestigious university. The campus is open to the public, as is Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), whose central point is an emblematic, Pantheon-like building.

Sport in Boston is also a big thing, with the Celtics and Red Sox among the city’s big name teams.

The largest New England city, Boston has the perfect size for walking and cycling. Logan International Airport is connected by public transport to Boston hotels, motels, apartments and B&Bs.

I always wanted to see Boston, and it was a wonderful experience! I had planned my trip to be divided in two, a few days in Boston and a few days in Fort Lauderdale, and once in Boston I regretting not staying longer, there is so much to see and to do! I really want to go back and stay a bit longer!

Boston is the most unique city. Its center is easy to walk. The residents are not under as much pressure as other cities. The public transportation is great, and the tunnel system to move cars around the city is one of the most impressive construction projects I have ever seen.

I moved to Boston to escape New York's polluted air, crowds, and trash. The clean air, open and well-organized cityscape, flat roads, and pleasant sea breeze—it's all fantastic. The city honors its revolutionary history while showcasing an intellectual atmosphere, with institutions like MIT and Harvard University nearby. The only drawback is the sea breeze being too strong on winter days, but Boston is perfect for a leisurely vacation. I hope to come back someday.

Boston is a charming East coast city but I would rather come back again during spring or summer since the winter chill is rather unpleasant. My stay at the Wyndham was ok, the location ideal, the room clean and the staff very friendly. I would come back again for a few nights.

What I like about Boston is that it isn't a high-stress metropolis. It can feel like a large town, which is one of its best attributes, but at the same time it has plenty of big city things to do that range from light and fun to sophisticated and serious.

We love staying here after long flights. The harbor view from the room was spectacular. The rooms are huge and comfy. The restaurant is excellent. The staff are super-friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to the airport with a continuous shuttle service. I you want, the water taxi to downtown Boston is right outside the door.  It's not exactly cheap, but the price is quite reasonable considering the room, view, location and restaurant.
