CanadaI arrived early and was able to be booked in about 45 minutes before my official time, which was nice. The first thing that stands out about Sapphire is the mid 20th century vibe, which a lot of authentic pieces. The room even had a rotary phone. Parking for the room was right out front which made loading and unloading very easy and it was a short jaunt to central Bozeman.

This was a stopover for a scheduled flight out after a wonderful adventure at a ranch near Yellowstone. Close to nature with Grizzlies in a snowfilled mountain landscape. The Bozeman museums were of interest as well as the shops along Main Steet.

The bus depot and tour bus pickup at
Walmart worked out very well. We walked there each day and Walmart was a good place to have nearby for grab and go food and snack options.
The nearby hotels were good for drinks and appetizers.

We travelled to Bozeman for a wedding.
We travelled to Bozeman for a wedding. We stayed in an Air BandB for four nights about 15 minutes walk from the town centre. The city is welcoming and clean. There are lots of interesting independant shops selling everything you might need or want.
There were so many good places to eat, our recommendation for breakfast / brunch is the Catseye Cafe, absolutely delicious fresh food and friendly staff. The supermarkets have a good variety of fresh local food and the hot food and salad bars are full of tasty choices.
For quick breakfast or lunch, head over to the Bagel Works, where you can choose anything from a plain bagel to an everything bagel, with plenty of fillings to choose from for a very resonable price.
Would love to come here again to learn a bit more about the local history. We did not have the opportunity to visit the museums, however we took a day trip to Yellowstone to see the Mammoth Falls which were phenomenal.

I didn't spend much time in the city itself, but it seemed nice enough, though traffic was kind of annoying because you must constantly watch for random people crossing the streets, even though you have the green light. I mostly spent my time exploring some of the hiking trails in the surrounding areas, which I enjoyed. The scenery was beautiful and the people were friendly. Some of the local museums were nice also. Montana as a whole is better when you get away from the cities. The countryside is amazing.

The city of Bozeman is very eclectic and reminds me of many college towns I've visited. Lots of Bohemian flair and young people with that zest for life in their eyes. Grab breakfast at the Western Cafe ("The Last Best Cafe") if you can find a seat. We were there on a Tuesday mid-morning and there was still a wait. It was worth it.
Like most Montana cities now, Cannabis Dispensaries are abundant which is a bit shocking as my Dad's side of the family are from Montana and it was once pretty conservative. No longer, it feels like the worm has turned as the West Coast has descended in mass.
If possible, time your visit around the forest fire season as the smoke was oppressive and obscured the stunning views.

We only stopped overnight on our way to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons and southeastern Wyoming & Nebraska to visit family. We also decided to stop in Bozeman on the way back as well. Both stays were short, only dinner and the overnight stay, but we liked Bozeman. Nice area and had alot of choices of really good restaurants and very nice hotels! Would definitely stop at Bozeman again!

The hotel looked newer and was very bright and cheerful throughout. The front desk gal was sweet and helpful. I loved that the breakfast area had real dishes and silverware. Also, it was so convenient having the Outback Restaurant right next door after our long day at Yellowstone. Thanks for the coupon for a bloomin onion!

Friendly staff at reception, gave us good recommendations. The beds were comfortable. There was a safe, fridge and microwave in the room. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants. A short drive to Bozeman.
