The location is very convenient, in a walking distance to many spots and close to metro and bus stops. The room is very clean, has a full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, enough plates and cups. The bed is comfortable. Breakfast is descent, it is nice to have waffles for kids. The reception personnel is absolutely amazing: very helpful and friendly! We had a late night flight back home and the guys kept our luggage safe and allowed us to stay for a while in the lobby with a cozy balcony. Definitely recommended!

FAQs about hotels in Chicago

Our Kind of Town

Standing proud beside Lake Michigan, Chicago is down-to-earth, friendly, and abounding in culture. It has outdoor art by famous artists including Chagall and Picasso, and there are some fascinating architectural examples from the Art Institute of Chicago.

Home to blues and house music, Chicago has an eclectic music scene that reflects its spirit. The Windy City is also a pioneer in a variety of Americanized dishes from it's European immigrant roots like deep-dish pizza and the Chicago hot dog.

The world’s first skyscraper and Ferris wheel were erected in Chicago. The latter, on Navy Pier, is one of the Midwest’s most visited sights. Also famed is the ‘L’ transport system, whose raised trains circle The Loop, the main business district. Check out its skyline reflection in the shiny bean sculpture in huge Millennium Park.

Home of the Bulls and Bears, Chicago is a stronghold of sport and has teams playing baseball, basketball, American football and hockey, to name a few. If you get a chance, try to catch a game.

Chicago Midway and Chicago O’Hare Airport are both on the outskirts of this vast city, so make sure to leave enough time for travel from your Booking.com hotel, apartment or hostel. And all that jazz.

Best things about Chicago - Art Institute and other museums - Restaurants - every meal in a local restaurant has been memorably good - the cinnamon rolls at Ann Sather's will change your life - Architecture! Take tours! So many excellent buildings. CTA trains are navigable but not necessarily oriented to tourist - checking for info about trainlines and such on internet makes CTA must easier.

So much to see there beyond a deep dish pizza, and this obsession with food masks some real magic. It is so hard to get around that I'd consider getting digs out of town a bit and hire a car, but the public transport is OK and the trains a bit of fun. It is very expensive everywhere, and almost impossible to figure out the other fun bits like the ferries, park activity, what is closed off for the holidays and what is not, getting salad and vegetables and don't start me about the coffee. It is safe enough and the beggars not that intrusive and most of them sophisticated. Overall there is a lot to see and if you do your homework the most fun in a living museum that I have had for quite some time. The great lake is ignored, despite its formidable qualifications. There is effectively no way to get around on it and you need to drive to the zoo and botanical gardens and places that ferries could reach better and with more fun. I could advise Chicago on how to be a five star vacation journey and I do love it but would do things a bit differently.

My husband and I went for our 25th anniversary.

My husband and I went for our 25th anniversary. We had an amazing time! We relaxed our first day. After that, we went on the Magnificent Mile, Navy Pier, The Willis Tower, and just walked around. We drove from Detroit, so we drove downtown and parked using ParkChicago.com, which is much cheaper than paying for the lots.

It’s well-organized, full of things to see and do, and the public transportation (especially the metro) works really well. You can walk a lot and still feel safe during the day, even though there are some homeless people around. Overall, an amazing city to visit!

The location is the best! Close to all the shops and the main attractions in downtown Chicago. The stuff is great, very helpful and super nice. The internet works great everywhere in the hotel and the television has lots of channels. My room was pretty small but clean and had all the necessary stuff (closet, table, hair dryer etc) besides lots of snacks on my arrival. My window was facing the backyard but if you’re lucky the view is beautiful on the river and Trump tower.
