My husband has Parkinson's Disease and I asked in advance for an accessible room. Upon arrival, we had already been assigned an accessible room. It was beautiful and very spacious. The breakfast was good both days. The staff was very attentive. My husband fell getting on the elevator on Wednesday, November 26th and Elena (desk clerk?) ran to his assistance and helped him to his feet. She was wonderful and very attentive and concerned. I would definitely recommend this hotel and not hesitate to stay there again if we're ever in Chicago again. Special thank you to Elena. I wish I'd gotten her last name.

Excellent customer service. Very clean rooms, they are on the smaller side but are still very practical and have a great view of the city. The tacos and drinks in the lobby are a welcome plus. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for anyone wishing to stay in a central place of Chicago. It was a great spot for us to meet this lovely city.

FAQs about hotels in Chicago

Our Kind of Town

Standing proud beside Lake Michigan, Chicago is down-to-earth, friendly, and full of culture. It has outdoor art by famous artists including Chagall and Picasso, and there are some fascinating architectural works from the Art Institute of Chicago.

Home to blues and house music, Chicago has an eclectic music scene that reflects its spirit. The Windy City is also a pioneer in a variety of Americanized dishes from it's European immigrant roots like deep-dish pizza and the Chicago hot dog.

The world’s first skyscraper and Ferris wheel were erected in Chicago. The latter, on Navy Pier, is one of the Midwest’s most visited sights. Also famed is the ‘L’ transport system, whose raised trains circle The Loop, the main business district. Check out its skyline reflection in the shiny bean sculpture in huge Millennium Park.

Home of the Bulls and Bears, Chicago is a stronghold of sport and has teams playing baseball, basketball, American football and hockey, to name a few. If you get a chance, try to catch a game.

Chicago Midway and Chicago O’Hare Airport are both on the outskirts of this vast city, so make sure to leave enough time for travel from your Booking.com hotel, apartment or hostel. And all that jazz.

What Guests Said About Chicago:

Scored out of 10, guest rating 10

What's not to love about Chicago.

What's not to love about Chicago. The food, the entertainment, the history. We love to pop over from Michigan and enjoy concerts or just a weekend of site seeing and food. So walkable and easy to use public transportation is not lacking. We always feel safe, but just like any city keep your head a on swivel and be conscious of your surroundings. Our favorite spots to get great food are: Quartinos, Victory Tap, Havana Grill, Lil Ba-ba-ree-ba, Eatly, Roti, Al's, Portillos, Standard Bar and Grill (Wicker Park), Goddess and the Baker, Paris Baguette, Pleasant House Pub, Lou Malnati's, Dannys Pub for pizza and Szarotka in Justice. If you have never been to the Chicago Art Museum this is your reminder to finally go! It really is awesome. Have a great time walking and checking out new spots all over Chicago or even just inside the Loop!

I enjoyed that everything is walkable, we parked in the lot by our hotel Congress Plaza Hotel and paid $125 for parking and was informed that we couldn't leave if so I would have to pay again, I think that is ridiculous because I paid for 48 hours, I would visit again but this time I would go in the spring, summer or fall, winter is just too cold especially since you can't drive anywhere or you will be paying out the a** for parking constantly, prices are quite high too for food,

It is a very beautiful city, but be prepared for the weather — especially in winter — as it can vary greatly, from minus 10 to plus 10 degrees Celsius. Make sure to bring sunglasses, no matter whether it’s winter or summer.

I really enjoyed staying at the HI hostel in Chicago.

I really enjoyed staying at the HI hostel in Chicago. Its location was great, the place was nice, and the staff was friendly. I went to the Field Museum and enjoyed it, but didn’t have near enough time to take in all the exhibits. I found plenty of good food nearby and some places were open late. I met a friend for a great meal and coffee at the Goddess and the Baker about a half mile away. I recommend.

Best hostel in Chicago ! Very cheap dormitory rooms, I was very lucky because during all my stay there was only one person with me in the room (and it was a 10 beds room). You’ll have all the accommodations you’ll need, the neighborhood is GREAT, especially to walk into. Very close to the center of the city (20 min with the red line), the subway station is 10 min away. Lots of common space that were very spacious, the dorm and bathroom were very clean, and the breakfast, very simple but a real plus.

Great location. Ideal for first time visitor to Chicago. Easy walk to magnificent mile, art institute and riverwalk. The hotel makes an immediate impact- lovely old building, spotless, stylish and much better than usual Hilton corporate averageness. Room outstanding- spacious, attractive, great views of Chicago River. Good choice of bars, casual and more formal dining. Staff attentive and pleasant always.

There is no doubt that the biggest advantage of the hotel is its location. The best location in Chicago - right on Michigan Avenue and the Riverwalk. Another advantage is the parking, which is relatively cheap compared to other hotels - 30USD per day, in a parking lot that is about a five-minute walk from the hotel.
