If I could choose a higher number for satisfaction I would. I was fortunate to be a guest on opening day for the new facility, and the staff made me feel like royalty.

Easy to get too, beds and pillows were very comfortable. The reviews were spot on. There little touches such as the folded towels and toilet paper that make the difference in the care the staff put into the property.

We were only there one night, as we were on a road trip to Portland and needed to keep moving. We loved the historic downtown and could have spent more time there. There are many little shops, bookstores, coffee shops to enjoy. We had been to Eureka last year and found a great restaurant that we returned to (Brick and Fire Bistro). I'm sure there are others as well.

We were deciding between staying in Eureka or Crescent City, and I’m very glad we ultimately chose Eureka. The location was ideal for exploring both the southern redwoods, such as the Avenue of the Giants and scenic drives through the forests to the coast, as well as the northern redwoods, including Redwood National and State Parks. We did visit Crescent City during our trip and found it to be much quieter, but overall, we were happy to return to Eureka as our home base. Eureka offers a wider variety of restaurants, hotel options, and amenities, including multiple Starbucks locations, which made our stay more convenient and enjoyable.

If you want to see amazing groves of Redwood Trees, this is a good, central location for that kind of thing. Eureka has almost every kind of store you might need while on a vacation and the driving distance for amazing views is quite reasonable.

There wasn’t as much to do in Eureka as we thought there would be. We like to walk and do birdwatching. There were not a lot of trails for this. We did drive around the marsh, but there were not a lot of safe places to pull over and identify the birds we were seeing. The highway circling the marsh was a nice drive, but the traffic was fast , so not a lot of opportunities to enjoy the scenery. We decided it wasn’t really worth the trip from Crescent City. If doing it again, we would skip Eureka.

Eureka is a very cool town.

Eureka is a very cool town. You hsve therocean and the redwoods: nice people, great food ad fabulously fresh seafood affordable living. Unfortunately I broke mat wrist at a VRBO (always poorly managed) and had to deal with the poor supervision team who threatened to kick me out - even though I fell with no lights on the deck after dark Eureka yes, this property no. You can stay anywhere -such a great town.... I'm a little slow since I broke my wrist taking my dog out last night......The staff at VRBO were great until I spoke to a "supervisor she said" women who said \she was a supervisor and said one was going to have me evicted (call the cops) ion I didn't pay the exorbitant fees for the next few nights; even thouhg I could not leave because of my cast, because the deck was a slippery/unlit mess. I'm going to sue the property managers and owners - they have been horrible at best Stray in town but dint be fooled into staying 31 Crsbb Street.

Pretty good place to stay! Everything was clean and comfortable, and it worked perfectly for our overnight stop. Friendly staff and easy check-in. Great value for the price, we’d stay here again. We also had a wonderful experience with the staff: my son forgot his headphones in the room, and the hotel kindly agreed to send them back to us by mail. He was so happy to get them back, and we are very grateful for their extra kindness and help.

I guess it was what you’d expect from a Best Western. It was reasonably priced and clean enough. The gardens and pool area were very very nice. We didn’t use the pool areas.
