Traumatizing events stay with you forever. I have been to Hollywood about 3-4 times in the last three years. During one of those visits just walking off the boardwalk a man yelled profanities our way (I'm a female, with my sister and daughter) because of our skin color. He was driving a white pick-up truck and was looking to start trouble. He obviously is weak minded as why yell at women with no man in sight. But during our last stay, we felt welcomed by everyone. Hollywood Beach is so perfect for a beach vacation with no need to rent a car. The Fort Lauderdale Airport is less than a 20 minute Uber/Lyft ride to the beach. There are a variety of places to stay along the beach with over 3 miles of “Broadwalk” right along the beach with a variety of shops, restaurants/bar/grills, live music, coffee shops, etc. It’s a great place to get away from the cold during the upper midwest wintersQGuest review byJohnUnited States
