Very unique (in a good way) hotel. Located right off I-95 with great soundproofing so you don't hear traffic. Cool technology controls the lights and shades. The front desk staff was very friendly.

This apartment has a great location close to campus. It's spacious with a fully stocked kitchen. Everything is clearly labeled so it's easy to navigate. The beds were relatively comfortable. Overall a great find as it's perfect for larger groups. Having a copy of Scrabble to play was a plus!

There are great museums, restaurants and other sites to see in New Haven, Modern and Zuppardi's are my favorite pizza places. I would avoid the "famous" spots in Wooster area -- the founders are gone and the kids don't know how to make pizza. However, I would not stay in the city. Ugly traffic and construction and you would have to park in a off street facility. Better to stay outside in the many suburbs and also less expensive. Pictures below are from Cafe Fiore in Branford -- great food.

Can't say enough wonderful things about New Haven.
Can't say enough wonderful things about New Haven. A lovely town to enjoy for a long weekend. Simply walking the campus at Yale can soothe your soul. Great eateries and shops, fun historical landmarks, special cultural treats from museums to architecture.
You MUST go to Louis Lunch, home of the first hamburger. Milkcraft makes icecream in front of your eyes with liquid nitrogen. Several bookstore/coffeeshop options.
The Group W Bench will appeal to your inner hippie. Plenty of museums to enjoy.
Don't forget to ask for a room with a view of campus when you stay at The Study.

We came to area for daughter college graduation, had her car parked in parking lot under a street light and it was stolen. Apparently the hotel camera didn’t cover the parking lot !!!!! We understand it isn’t the hotel’s fault someone would steal a car from their parking lot, but security is not a top priority at this location!!

- no restaurant (although on booking.com lunch and dinner option was offered). Check carefully your invoice - room, parking and breakfast! Check your credit card regarding holds! if not you might end up paying a lot more that initially booked via booking.com

Trip from Hell:
Trip from Hell:
My flight was cancelled (United Airline) very poor service and worst customer service I have ever encountered. had to finally book another airline. So, I send a message to inform the hotel that I would only be arriving a day late. When I finally arrived the reception clerk informed me that my booking had been cancelled and he couldn't find it in the system. he told me to step aside very rudely. His senior finally came to help him. And miraculously they both found my book. I then presented my credit card which was declined. And he informed me loudly that it had been declined, I gave him another card it was declined again. My daughter (leaves in the USA) gave him her card, gain it was declined. So, I called my bank in South Africa. Who quickly informed me to tell the clerk to stop tapping Rand 35 000. Due to fraud, you can only tap Rands only 250. Note not fraud in South Africa but global!!! The clerk informed me that all the cards he is used to in the USA accepted Tapping!!! i told him the world has changed not everyone/VISITERS come from America. The world is now global!!!!
The loft (201) was very roomy and very nicely decorated. It had everything needed for a short stay, great shower, comfortable bed, TV and kitchen. A nice bakery/coffee shop on the ground floor and a pub steps away from the building. it is located one block away from State street station in New Haven and 10 min walking distance from the Yale university art gallery.
Spacious hotel room which a decent view of the city! Rooms were clean and had all the necessities. We went down and got some food for dinner and it was rather good. A lot of reviews complain of traffic, to use the noise was about what would be expected with the location. You can hear emergency vehicles go by, but that's about it.
My daughter attends Yale so this is my go-to place to stay. I have stayed here a few times, and it never disappoints. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the hotel is extremely clean, and the rooms are quite comfortably appointed. My daughter and I both enjoyed a fabulous dinner and breakfast in the restaurant.
What a fantastic stay!! The room was as beautiful as comfortable, great job in renovating this landmark hotel in New Haven. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was perfect to reach all restaurants and shops on foot. What a treat! We would definitely come back here in the future!
Beautiful apartment. Lovely big windows, spacious and great air conditioning. would highly recommend if you are visiting New Haven.
We felt 2 was enough in the area, although this would depend on the reason for your visit. Otherwise, great apartment at a good price for what you get too!
Only a one night stopover but the hotel had a good location and was very close to the Yale University and all of the surrounding bars and restaurants. Good size room and clean. Very friendly staff at reception who helped us with parking in the adjacent garage
The hotel was refreshing and clean. The staff was friendly and professional. The rooms were neat and cozy. The robes were an added delight. Lobby and common areas were clean, and the decor was beautiful and welcoming. I would definitely stay again.
Newly renovated hotel with a great decoration. The building itself has a designer vibe and the rooms have been designed following a Bauhaus vibe too. Rooms are very big with any modern facility you may need. Plenty of free parking space too.
An excellent option: clean, comfortable, well equipped... The room had a mini-fridge and a coffee maker, which are always nice additions to a room. The staff was kind and helpful. The reception area and the bar were elegantly decorated.
The location is superb, close to the sea, parks and woods. Also easy distance to New Haven Town. The house is tastefully furnished and well equipped with daily essentials. The beds are comfortable and we had a great stay.
Loved my stay here! Friendly staff, clean room, and a beautiful hotel overall. There's a parking garage right across the street. The bar downstairs is super fun as well - definitely recommend staying here :)
Rooms out of date and run down. Access to checkin via car almost impossible. Ubers lined up and not moving for 20 minutes. Had to park in no parkong zone to check in and I know New Haven tickets regularly.
I didn't liked this hotel because it's not worth for the money you spend. Staffs are nice but the building structure and room is not good. The facilities are less. The renovation works really disturbed
Everything was very good. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast had variety of items. The parking and access to the hotel were easy and quick.
Suites are designed for long stay - with full kitchen, lounge area and plenty of storage. Well equipped and very comfortable. Breakfast included in room rate.
Very spacious, very near Yale University campus, the hosts were easy to communicate with and very helpful, and provided a well-stocked kitchen & bathroom!
The hotel is located on the best street in Downtown New Haven, a block away from the Yale Art Collection and within walking distance of many restaurants.
