Located in Newcastle, in a building dating from 2018, Newcastle Lodge & Convention Center provides a bar and guestrooms with free WiFi.

Breakfast was very generic. You can tell everything came out of a can or a box. They could provide more fruit and only had oranges available at that time.

    Newcastle lacks spirit.

Newcastle lacks spirit. You can tell this small town is tired and worn out based off the gas stations and places to eat. I did enjoy where I stayed however it was an older motel (well taken care of). The town only has one "new" hotel but they make sure to take advantage of that by charging way more than a Holiday Inn. I hope this town's economy turns around and they are able to put some care back into it. Felt sad driving through it. Small towns are a tough situation but at least the locals were friendly!
