Definitely take time to visit the Buffalo Bill Museum, and check out the carved display. WOW!
Also, go out of town to the LARGEST railyard in the world. AMAZING! Be sure to read about how the town took care of soldiers traveling through North Platte during World War II. So impressive. Please learn more by clicking this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Platte_Canteen

We stayed there because of business.
We stayed there because of business. However, anyone passing through the area should consider staying overnight there because the town's large enough to have restaurants, stores, and hotels (we've stayed at several that weren't bad). The other, smaller, towns on I-80 will have less to choose from.

Good hotel stop in a long-distance drive.
Good hotel stop in a long-distance drive. Old Fort Trading Post and a crazy antique mall nearby out in the country in Grain Bins and a barn, plus services and the river, made it a place worth a moment of a traveler's time.

picked up some needed items for a gift and wrapping at Walmart and Dollar tree. We were just passing through Nebraska on a trip to see family. Needed a place to sleep for one night, Husker Inn was great. Neighborhood felt safe and we took a walk to stretch our legs, well kept community. Easy to navigate. Will try to stay again next trip.

The internet connection was poor, wasnt able to use any devices except my phone. Otherwise no real complaints. The shower heads are low for tall people but good water pressure. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. It’s a no frills place but a good value for the area. There is a gas station/convienence store and a couple restaurants nearby.

Nebraska as a whole is a beautiful state, my only drawback is the constant smell of all the feed lots. The state as you drive thru is very clean and well maintained, friendly people, however like I stated the smell of the feed lots are a definent deterent. We decided to not use interstate because we wanted to see the countryside, however going back home we used intestate which really worked out great because the feed lots could not be smelled. All in all I would still recommend Nebraska for tourism. We were only in North Platte overnight so did not get around to much but the locals that we encountered were oh so nice. I would recommed that city for sure.

We had one of the comfiest beds we've slept in at any hotel! The rest of the room was basic but clean and perfectly decent for a night's stay. Breakfast was good and all staff were friendly.
