Pittsburgh was nice. We did check out the Duquesne incline.
Pittsburgh was nice. We did check out the Duquesne incline. That price was right. It was a bit dated. The Phipps botanical garden was fantastic! Very nice. We are from the Philadelphia area so we have Longwood gardens. One thing that the Phipps garden did not have was a fountain area.. Longwood gardens found at night is phenomenal.

We attended our very first Pitt Panthers basketball game with our grandchildren. The Peterson Events Center was wonderful and we had a great experience.
We ate at a new country restaurant near the baseball stadium and had a great dinner. Shopping near IKEA is always an adventure! We can’t wait to explore Pittsburgh again!!

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is celebrated for its extensive network of bridges and rivers, as well as its iconic highway tunnels, including the Liberty Tunnels, Fort Pitt Tunnel, and Squirrel Hill Tunnel. The city boasts world-class museums and prestigious institutions such as the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) and Carnegie Mellon University. A standout landmark is the Cathedral of Learning, an architectural marvel with a steel frame encased in Indiana limestone. Serving as the main classroom and administrative hub for Pitt, this historic structure is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

There were two young ladies who worked during the day.
There were two young ladies who worked during the day. One was white, and the other was black. Both had a terrible view of what it means to work. They were lazy, and showed it in their terrible communication skills. It was always clear that they felt "put out" at the prospect of actually doing something, regardless of how small or easy the request was. Asking for another roll of toilet paper was viewed as an inconvenience. They'd do it, but made it clear you were bothering them for requesting something. When I ran into the supervisor, and told her of my experience with these two, I was given an excuse. Now I know why those two are still there. The other employees I ran into there were great. Third shift man and woman were great. So was the maintenance man, Eric. It was just those two that were bad enough to make that place look so bac.
It takes a skilled craftsman a lot of effort and time to build a good barn, but it only takes one kick from a jackass to knock the whole thing down.

Great location, walking distance to downtown and the strip district. We had a lovely, spacious room that felt like a home. Great coffee in the room. The breakfast was varied. The staff were brilliant. It was the best hotel we stayed at on our trip to the US
Next to the highway with free parking this location is perfect if you're traveling by car (not recommended without one). Easy drive into downtown (10-15min). Rooms are spacious and clean. Free (limited) breakfast was a nice addition.
Great place to stay in Pittsburgh, on the North Shore, walking distance to the Andy Warhol museum and across the bridge into downtown. Charming, historic building. Take away breakfast ample and satisfying. Good value!
