Holiday Day Inn Express was horrible management and desk associates. No customer service skills. The clocks in the rooms and lobby are still hour behind even with daylight savings time being 3 weeks ago. This should tell you the manager cannot over see a simple task. Guest keep the luggage racks in their room for hours and other customers have to suffer with carrying luggage. The hotel is poorly managed. The Raleigh area was nice and enjoyed the restaurants in the area. Concert at the nearby Levovo

Hotel was not great; construction was everywhere which made traffic difficult to navigate. Luckily, Raleigh is pretty walkable. I found a delightful Chai Cafe (Ammi's); was less impressed by Tous les Jours (baked goods/pastries were not up to par for the price). The Natural History museum was nearby, which I tend to enjoy but didn't have time for this trip.

Raleigh is a nice semi-small town with a number of good places to visit, work, eat, and live. The city government is OK, but the county and state governments are grossly unconcerened for the less fortunate population.

Raleigh is not a city where you go downtown for much more than government business. There's a dearth of restaurants , entertainment , lodging and shopping. You must drive everywhere and the driving is a royal pain. The population has exploded which equates to dense traffic. Just generously pad the time Mapquest or Google tells you it'll take from one location to another.

There was so much that I wanted to do in the city, but my stay wasn't long enough. I was only there 2 days for Breezy Bowl but I see that the State Fair was starting 2 days later. Bummer. The ferris wheels were so pretty. Reminded me of the big wheel in Vegas that lights up. For lunch, I stopped at Nana Morrison's Soul Food before getting on the road back to VA. The plate was hefty and well worth every dime. Cary and Raleigh are beautiful cities.

Very green and beautiful.

Very green and beautiful. There was a fabulous Arboretum that was free entry. The food choices are multi cultural and very good. There are children parks that are also lovely and well attended. The city for the most part is clean, great bar-b-q, beautiful azalea garden free to public. Pretty city, would love to come back even though long flight from CA.

I stayed at (Suites Raleigh-North Raleigh-Wake Towne Drive) March 14-15. Unexpectedly, the check-in attendant copied my ID card and credit card number, which made me feel very unsafe. Except for countries such as China, Russia, and North Korea, hotels must copy all traveler information. I will definitely not go to this hotel again next time, let alone recommend it to my friends. Copying passenger identification documents and credit card numbers is a serious violation of personal privacy. I protested seriously.
