Great town with beautiful scenery, not sure what more there is to offer though unless you have a specific reason to visit it outside of wanting to shop the great outlets or you have a relative attending TXST. Might be great to catch a game now that they're a part of the PAC-12, but I can't yet comment on that experience. We'll try to catch one during our next visit to our daughter if the schedule lines up. The food options are great, and the shopping is amazing if you/family are into that. Be careful if shopping downtown. The towing companies are the most predatorial I've ever seen, hiring spotters and everything. Just in line to move in our daughter we saw them nab several unsuspecting families' vehicles in minutes. We got some secondhand stories where the timed garages will cheat you as well, some vehicles getting towed in less than 10 minutes for example when you're supposed to have 45 minutes. Best advice is to find a paid garage and just walk everywhere, that's what the locals told us.

unlike other parts in Texas. There are some crystal clear rivers going through this beautiful town, the water is cool, there are a lot of shads in several parks for free or only $5-6 entrance fee. There are also a beautiful collage in this town. A huge premium outlet mall located in the south part of town, people can spend a half day there just shopping. It is a very good place for travel, for seeing the natural, culture and also shopping.

It is a very nice facility.
It is a very nice facility. I don't understand some of the reviews I've read. I would stay and recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately, there is no breakfast, but they have a neet coffee machine.

I've been living here for a year due to school, overall though the area is nice and there's something for everyone to do during the day and at night. If your a college student the square is the place to go for night life activity.

Liked: Clean hotel, friendly staff, location, fair price and Much Appreciated NO PET FEE.
Not a significant issue, but we would have preferred a box of tissues for easy use during our stay instead of small package.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay and we will return.

San Marcos is a nice town it's that Motel that has poor...
San Marcos is a nice town it's that Motel that has poor management. We have been having to stay at a different more expensive Motel. Until we find a home to rent. I wouldnt recommend that specific Motel 6 not even for my worst enemy. Thats how bad management is at that Motel.As long as that old rude lady continues working there. I know I'm not the only customer you'll have lost because of her. So good luck . I'm making it a priority to tell everyone I know not to go to that Motel 6.

Was not expecting the cleanliness and comfort from a seemingly budget hotel. The two ladies on the reception were extremely friendly and courteous. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.
