We always stay in San Simeon when coming to the coast.
We always stay in San Simeon when coming to the coast. It’s more relaxed with way less people. We enjoy the quiet less crowded beaches. It’s just a short drive to Morro Bay and Pismo Beach. There are a few restaurants to choose from located right there next to every place to stay. There are 2 very small grocery stores/mini marts to grab a snack or something that you might have forgotten. There really isn’t anywhere to souvenir shop. We Alway check out what's happening at the elephant seal rockery nearby! Then a sweet little town, Cayucos is just a few minutes away, it has several great places to eat. San Simeon is a great place to visit. You are within five minutes of downtown Cambria which has lots of great places to shop and eat. San Simeon itself has the seals, Hearst Castle, and lots of places to buy a lunch and picnic outside if the weather is good.Guest review byAnonymous - Review score

We were greeted by Ed when we arrived and he made our check in easy and pleasant. the cookies offered at check in with coffee and hot tea hit the spot. our rooms were comfortable and the hot breakfast was a great selection. We also enjoyed we had a few spots availble to enjoy playing board games and having breakfast. we enjoyed the firepit area very much. Good equipment, but not helpful staff. Took time to receive an invoice: invoice not available since "the original booking was made through booking.com and we are not entitled to see the pricing". If you're into nature and the ocean, this is a great place to visit. There are numerous surfing spots. This city is also the home of the Hearst Castle, which holds significant historical values. You can also explore the sea wildlife by watching elephant seals.Guest review byHanUnited States

The room has a microwave and refrigerator. I usually bring my own food so I appreciate that convenience. The bed is comfortable. The room has hardwood floors and is nicely decorated. It definitely exceeded our expectations. We booked two rooms and they had interconnecting doors. A fireplace, which actually came in handy for the night we were there, in August! A variety of coffee, teas, and snacks at reception and a great breakfast included. The room was large and clean. There was a separate restaurant and the food was really good.
