The room was clean and the furniture in good condition.
The bathroom was generally pleasant and the towels mostly thick. (I got a thin one the last day.)
The location was great.

We stayed downtown in the historic district whcih is walkable. Shopping is expensive, but the restaurants are really good. The history museum and old churches and buildings and Indian history were fascinating. Side trip for one morning to Madrid - a funky, one street town was fun. The air is very thin and it was hard for my friend with heart issues to get around. We stayed 4 nights, maybe could have stayed 1 more. Had relatives to take us here and there so didn't need a car. Hard to find parking on the streets.

Enjoyed the restaurants such as Los Potrillos, La Playa Mariscos, and especially Los Magueyes on Burro Alley (great food and wonderful owners). Had a hard time manuevering the streets in Santa Fe, Parking and road construction. Got sick at Fun Noodle, would not recommend. Wife loved the shopping. Signed up for brunch with chef Carolina. $115 for a coulpe of pieces of toast, some small cookies , a piece of squash the size of my thumb and some pudding. Very disapponiting. A big heads up for Larry Rael, the porter at Buffalo Thunder, a truly wonderful man You will meet him at the door as you enter. say hello and if you need anything he will help you.

This is one of the special cities in the country.
This is one of the special cities in the country. A blend of three cultures, it has an interesting history, architectural consistency with the pueblo architecture, lots of good restaurants, and is an easy place to get around. With the Opera here and the many art galleries, it's easily one of the cultural centers of the U.S.

The restaurants were all fantastic.
The restaurants were all fantastic. Loved visiting the galleries on Canyon. Did a wine tasting at Gruet - So much fun! Went to the Railyard. It was very slow. Must have been a little too early in the year. We did eat at Cafecito. I would recommend that restaurant to anyone.
Favorite Places:
The Shed
Pasquals
Meyer Gallery
Dragon Room
Gruet Tasting in the St. Francis Hotel

We always enjoy visiting Santa Fe.

Santa Fe offered a unique and authentic experience at the intersection of Native American, Mexican and Anglo-American cultures. The community was refreshingly tolerant and the architecture amplified a tangible sense of history which surrounded us in and around the city.

Loved the downtown area and the merchants in this area.
Loved the downtown area and the merchants in this area. Everyone was pleasant and very helpful. Did a local Food tour that was phenomenal! Visiting the State Capitol building to view the art was a very pleasant surprise and very enjoyable. Ate at several wonderful restaurants in the area. My only negative comment would be that Santa Fe needs better street signs to make getting around easier.

Absolutely one of the best traveling experiences I have ever had. I was disappointed at first by the size of the room and by that night I couldn't have imagined staying anywhere else. The history of the property, the housekeeping and front desk staff, the location, the magic that you felt inside and out made this the only place I would ever want to stay in Santa Fe. I was there for six nights and I truly felt sad when I left. I will be back, for sure.
very convenient location - 5 minute walk to the historic plaza and presidential palace and other sights in the old town. Just parked the car at the hotel and left it there for our whole visit. $10 per day for car parking was reasonable. room was comfortable and spacious.
It’s got all the charm one would want in a Santa Fe hotel. Walking distance from the square .. it gives you that feeling like you’re in another world. Staff was friendly, morning complementary coffee and burritos were good, beds were just right and the decor was spot on.
The room was large and well appointed. It was clean and the staff were very helpful. There is a bus stop just in front of the hotel, so we could ride the bus into the historic part of Santa Fe without having to worry about the traffic or parking.
It's a great location with nice rooms and good breakfast for the price. I always recommend it to friends looking for moderate price of Santa Fe hotels. It is a great value. The bar is a plus too...good food and drink at the Social Club.
