The beach was great. We came in January, next time we will try in spring or summer. They're was so much to do, I wish we could have stayed longer. Make sure to check out Old West Cinnamon rolls, and grab a chowder bowl at Wooli's

We usually go to Santa Maria/Orcutt about every 2 months to visit my sister & brother-in-law. We don't do alot of tourist-y things, but have been introduced to several really great places to eat (The Hitching Post in Casmalia for dinner, Kay's, or Jack's for great breakfast and/or lunch, to name a few) , and some super nice people who live and work there. Santa Maria/Orcutt is close to alot of popular beaches, so it's a great home base for a beach day (or two). We love to stay at The Wine Stone Inn in Orcutt for a relaxing and fun get away.

Parts of town can be deceiving as in you can't judge a book by it's cover. Good food, good shopping, great access to the beaches and great wineries abound in the area. We made it to the airshow which was a plus. All in all, we would return.

We were travelling up from LA to Monterey so tried to stop halfway. We actually kept driving back to Santa Barbara as it was more scenic. Pismo isn’t too far but wasn’t the greatest weather. Uber is good for food but cannot get an Uber taxi no matter how hard you try. Plenty of choice for food - loved ihop for breakfasts and Applebys is a must for dinner.

We enjoyed our trip very much.
We enjoyed our trip very much. Santa Maria Friday nights was a fun outside market just up from our hotel. Loved the flavors and live music. We were happy to be close to the coast also. We made a day trip to Pismo stopping by the Luffa farm. Also close for a day trip to Foxen wine trail and old town Orcutt area to explore. Santa Maria was very clean city and walkable plus many trail heads near by.
Staff was friendly. Everything was spotless clean. Hot tub and heated pool were amazing. They have a grill there to use. If you don't want to cook or go out there's an amazing taco truck parked right out front. It's within walking distance to shopping centers. The room was huge and a very comfortable bed. They have a great breakfast. The office has a little "convenience" shop that you could purchase various snacks and drinks. I will stay here from now on when I'm in Santa Maria.
Historic Inn, filled with quaint pre decade deco. The log fires had now turned to gas flame for what ever reason, fires with logs with a red flickering light would have made the fireplaces more authentic. Gym reasonably equipped, sauna never used, hot tub as it days on the tin? Pool chilly but could be down to cold winds. Hotel with staff who suggest places to eat along will in house restaurant and knowledge about the area. This Inn needs a patience to explore.
This room was better then I expected. We were taking a road trip through California and this hotel happened to be on our way up the state. After hours of driving we landed here and we had the best stay. Room was very clean and cozy, the breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly. This location exceeded my expectations. This was actually the best place we stayed in our 8 day road trip. We paid alot more for our other rooms compared to this one.
Big room and big bathroom. Microwave in room. Swimming pool.
Even it is next to airport it is an airport for private jets and no flights during night. Big hotel and helpful service. No problems with parking place. Even if hotel needs to be refreshed, it is still Radisson quality.
When booking.com messed up my reservation causing my family and I to wait in our car for over 2 hours, the hotel was exceptional. The management and front desk went above and beyond for us and I will forever be grateful. Thank you Santa Maria Holiday Inn staff!
The Santa Maria Inn has been the go to place for my family and for family reunions for close to 100 years. It is always a treat to bring new family members here to share in the family legacy. The Santa Maria Inn has been gracious hosts for their guests.
Stayed for one night, stopover on our way to San Diego.
The hotel is nice and clean. The breakfast was as expected (don't expect too much, american standard).
The hotel is located a little bit out of the way, so you need the car to have dinner.
The room was very spacious, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. If you are traveling to SF from La this is a very good place to stay between these two cities. Also, the hotel is very close to a number of restaurants and stores by car.
Location was ok if you were travelling for business. But if you are holidaying, avoid Santa Maria. Rooms were a good size and beds were comfortable. Soulless place though. No cafe/bar or anything just an apartment building.
A beautiful boutique hotel provides an island of sophistication and luxury in a wild area. We found the amenities top notch, and the glass of wine on arrival was stellar. Looking forward to your next stary.
