The room was as comfortable as other places we've stayed that would cost more. The price and location were the primary reasons for staying here. The price was below most other places that were considered.

Chose this hotel for the bar and restaurant only to find that both were closed for renovations. Nothing about this on booking.com or the hotel website. I could have stayed across the street and saved $100...and gotten a free breakfast. The Hilton wanted $15 for breakfast. We had breakfast elsewhere.

It was nice quiet and very peaceful. No one is running around, and yelling at people or kids to nock things off just a nice peaceful place to have a relaxing time. And our dog loved it too he felt relaxed 😌
I love Springfield! the Willamette river, the McKenzie river, Mt. Pisgah are so close. Eugene is the other side of I-5. Up north is the McKenzie bend. Springfield starts the Willamette north bank bike and foot trail on Pre's Trail into Eugene that comes back down the south back to Knickerbocker bicycle bridge.

DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 130.
DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 130. Downstairs corner room with one bed.
The in-room phone was broken. Sink plugged. Shower head dribbles water. TV did not work because the remote was held together with scotch tape. I adjusted the thermostat to “high” when I entered the room … and after one hour … still no heat was coning out of the ceiling vent.
Front Desk Clerk offered me a new “upstairs” room. I declined. It was 9:30 PM. I am handicapped with a service dog. It was raining outside, very cold and “no one” available to help me with my luggage to an upstairs room.
She told nr that “No” other downstairs room were available, only upstairs.
So, I put socks on my hands and feet, wore 2 pairs of PJ’s, AND my bathrobe to bed. I doubled over the blanket & bedspread to help keep me warm.
At check out the next morning, the front desk clerk offered me a discount when I I updated him on my room condition.
He told me the motel is renovating and apologized for Room 130’s deplorable condition. I told him I was giving this motel a negative review.

When Choice Hotels won't rent to people that have a Springfield address I say check the fine print before you reserve a room. They even had the gall to charge us when they said they wouldn't. We did find another motel that was happy to have us.

Very green and forested city.
Very green and forested city. I only interacted with a few locals: uber driver, people working at a fast food restaurant and a mini mart, but I could tell they were friendly and welcoming. This city has a much more laid back and welcoming atmosphere compared to Portland.
The Eugene airport is very easy to access with no traffic issues and the employees all seemed pretty friendly.

Our stay was better than expected.
Our stay was better than expected. We requested a king bed and we got that (very comfortable), but we got a very large room. We weren't expecting that. The front desk didn't mention anything about an upgrade. He was very kind and got us checked in quickly. It was a spacious bathroom too. It was fairly quiet but there was some jumping in the room above ours, in the early hours (a very standard event, in my experience). Outside there was little to no noise. It has a nice indoor pool and exercise area. There was also a guest laundry room. It was easy to get into or out of the parking lot onto the street.
The morning breakfast was very good, with lots of selection and good coffee. There were 4 of us in our party and everyone enjoyed it.
This is a very nice hotel and we would stay here again on our next trip to the area.

There is a Denny's Restaurant very close as well as other restaurants in the area. I ate at Denny's Restaurant which was wonderful. Getting around Springfield was very easy for me and access to and from the freeway is easy. I can't think of anything that I would avoid the next time I am there. Breakfast was delicious and there are a lot of options that you can choose for breakfast. I loved making waffles myself- there was scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cold cereal, hot oatmeal packets, juice and coffee. There was also bagels, toast you can make, muffins for breakfast too. I was 100% satisfied with my 2 night stay.

This hotel is a find! It is very unassuming from the outside almost difficult to find. Once inside, I was cheerfully greeted and the desk person was efficient at his job. My room was a surprise for the price of this hotel. Clean, no problems, looked newly remodeled. More than adequate, comfortable. And I am picky! Will stay again:-)
We liked NOTHING about this property, and we were so turned off by the property itself, we would never eat the breakfast they provided. We typically stay at finer hotels, but all were full due to the Nike Outdoor Track event.
The hotel was close to the highway to allow us easy access to and from the hotel. It had good restaurants all around making it a good location to find dinner. All up it met our needs adequately.
