We stopped here for an over night to break up the journey to sequoia national park. It was a perfect location, lovely room with plenty space for a family of 4. There was a great variety of offerings at breakfast which were all good quality. Staff were also very helpful.

I like that I can grab a bit to eat in the morning.
I like that I can grab a bit to eat in the morning. I do not have a problem with them picking up breakfast stuff at 9AM, BUT it would be nice if they left a bowl of fruit (apples, bananas, and oranges) on the counter so I can grab it as I am leaving.
Leaving the coffee out at the coffee bar so I can grab a cup as I am leaving would also be recommended. It seems weird that the coffee disappears at 9AM.

We have family there and was up just for 1 day and a huge 70th BD party for our nephew. We get up at night and have bad backs. The bed was exactly what we needed

Nasty dirty and no one can care less… springs sticking out of mattress ac smelled like dog urine and the room smelled like a cigar.. nasty bedding with sewn up rips … speed bumps are excessively tall and apparently caused damage to more than just my car in the past … so unless you’re broke, and you don’t care if things are nasty avoid this place all together.

For us this was a great place to stay for our Sequoia...
For us this was a great place to stay for our Sequoia National Park visit. It is about an hour from the park. However, I found that hotels closer to the park are vastly more expensive with lower cleanliness ratings. This hotel was 1/3 the price. Visalia has restaurants, pubs,, etc. for all price points and the downtown is charming, historic and architecturally significant. I was happy with the choice of a Visalia "home" for our weekend park visit.

Visalia had a lot of quaint shopping and eating...
Visalia had a lot of quaint shopping and eating establishments which we visited. Parking was a big issue as had to park and walk some distance and my wife and I are both handicapped with bad hips/legs. Could use more Handicap parking spots in close proximity to major venues.

The breakfast is standard for such types of properties with a few nice additions, like strawberry waffles.
The room was clean and spacious. The location is good as well, as the hotel is located in the plaza, so it's possible to have a small walk to get some food or groceries nearby.

Frontdesk staff (Ashley) was super friendly and helpful! Got a free upgrade to a bigger room on the top floor. Secure parking. This hotel is an absolute gem. Definitely try The Elderwood! We had both brunch and dinner there, and both meals were fantastic.

The house is very clean and spacious in a safe neighbourhood. It has everything you need for a comfy stay. owner is super helpful, good location in Visalia to visit Sequoia National Park. Visalia has good cafes, shops and restaurants.
