The accommodation was great! Very friendly staff, they had lots of recommendations for tours, food, etc. The rooms were good, the beds very comfortable, and the bathroom/shower clean. It was always quiet in the evenings, so you could sleep well. The breakfast is great (vegetarian). Something different every day and always delicious! I highly recommend it – I would definitely come back 😇
PS: During my time there (June 15, 2025), there were a lot of Germans, but as a German, I find it very varied while traveling!

What an absolutely beautiful place, the architecture of the old town is exactly what I wanted to see, depending how much time you have explore some of the suburbs.
On the down side, absolutely filthy place, I wonder what sort of place (actually the whole of Vietnam) is going to be going forward, everything just discarded into the sea and other waterways.
I was walking along the waterfront when a local from an upstairs balcony threw a bag of something across the road, almost directly over top into the estuary. God or Buddha please help the Vietnamese are doing to their country, before it’s to late.
Still gave it a 10 for the beauty and the lovely people of Vietnam, my poor comments are out of concern.

From the artisan shops to a more chilled vibe this little town was a cool destination to visit. Coconut forest basket boat ride and lanterns on the water and the night markets this town came alive at night

1. There were no vegetarian food options, even though we had clearly mentioned during checkin.
2. Also, most of the staff didnt know English, specially at the restaurant. We had a very hard time ordering food.
3. We have stayed at Anantara resort in Thailand and that one was amazing! But the one in Hoi An was rather disappointing. It was by no means a resort, it was smaller than a hotel
4. The pool is so small
5. There is no lift to go to 1st floor, so you have to take the stairs always
6. The kids room was the most disappointing. It was basically one of the rooms emptied out and a tiny jungle gym was put in there, and on the upper level it was kept open for kids to draw. There was a small TV with 2 games CDs and 2 game controllers for kids to play. The Anantara resort in Thailand had a kids play room which was bigger than 10 rooms put together
The good:
1. The boat cruise was decently good.
2. The spa was good and spa staff were helpful and pleasant

Hoi An is spectacular scenically especially at night when all the lanterns are turned on.
It’s the place to get clothes made within 24-48 hours and also shoes made.
It is hot but plenty of options for transportation especially Grab or electric golf buggy carts which are very cheap.
Lots of cheap options for food.
There are even sports bars if you don’t want to miss seeing your favourite team in action.
We stayed for 7 days. I Highly recommend.

The ancient city is absolutely amazing to the side vendors and by the way their food is off the charts. We came here to experience all of that, walking down side streets and coming across incredible local families and food. Our accommodation has five generations still living here in the property, we’ve watched them make the rice paper rolls from scratch and participated as well. The vibe here is unbelievable could not highly recommend HoiAn to fellow travellers a must.

This was probably one of our most enjoyable stays in Vietnam (travelling for 2 and a half weeks). The hotel was an amazing location, handy for both the old town and the beach, the staff were absolutely exceptional and Sue and the team made sure that our stay was the best. The pool was lovely, and we enjoyed a few drinks and snacks by the pool during the day. Everything was clean and the breakfast was amazing, and we couldn’t get over how friendly the staff were. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay and are still talking about it!
Our favourite hotel in Vietnam so far! All the staff are friendly and helpful, Eric welcomed us on arrival and was so helpful and polite throughout our stay.
Location is perfectly situated between old town and beach, with bicycles free to use. We enjoyed cycling to the beach through the rice fields.
The hotel is well looked after, the breakfast is great and the pool very clean and refreshing. Nice to have a pool big enough to swim properly in!!
Rooms are cleaned everyday and are well maintained, with comfortable beds.
A lovely boutique villa hotel looking onto the river, with swimming pool and large, comfortable rooms with walk in shower stall. Breakfast has limited choices, but is very well prepared, tasty and filling. The staff are friendly and helpful. The historic old town and beautiful An Bang beach are only minutes way. Highly recommended.
Friendly family hotel with a pool in the courtyard. Lina and Hung, both reception staff made us feel very welcome and were helpful with any queries we had. Good location, a few minutes walk from the river and about 10 mins from the old town. The beach was just over 10 mins in a taxi! Good variety of breakfast options.
Wonderful place to chill out while travelling through Vietnam. The hosts were wonderful and arranged cheap taxis to the old town and the beach whenever we wanted it.local traders and shops have everything you might need. Such a wonderful view of the river away from the busy town. Cannot fault Bon Sand Villa!
