Lovely place on the river.only noise was the frogs and birds. Staff were great and the grounds and pool as lovely. Nice being with a family with grandma and their dog lucky. Even though it was in a hotel style you felt like h9 e, we had the end VIP room which had a balcony overlooking the river. Peaceful and serene. If you want the hassle and bustle of town this is not for you but a shirt Grab ride away.

We loved staying at this hotel! It was clean and just far enough away to be quiet/peaceful, but close enough to easily bike or walk to restaurants. Breakfast was also really good! While there are a lot of homestay options in this area we learned the hard way they were not ideal (thin walls, cold and dirty- at least the one we booked originally) so this hotel was so greatly appreciated after a bad prior experience.

Little charming “village” with great food! The place is like described, natural with outdoor bathroom but our room had both heating and cooling air conditioner which was convenient because it was cold first days. The breakfast was BIG portion and Pho was the most delicious I ate in Vietnam. We ate dinner at the bungalows every day, there is good section.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The location couldn't be more perfect, surrounded by a variety of restaurants and cafes. The facilities were good, and the staff were exceptional. They spoke fluent English and even provided fantastic food recommendations. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!

One of those places you need to visit after the city madness...

One of those places you need to visit after the city madness. We could have stayed here longer but had already booked a flight to Da Nang. So much to explore and experience yet Ninh Binh is peaceful and beautiful, would definitely recommend it to anyone.

If you stay here stay at a nicer location or you can just make it a day trip. Local game the bike rentals. They will rent you bike with no gas and you have to buy gas locally as you won't be able to reach gas station. Then when you give bike back, they recycle the gas. They will only you min of .5L or 1L of gas and you most often will not use all of it. I can understand that this is a money making opportunity for them and I just want you to be aware of this so that you can choose wisely. Good food is available around the main road there. so food is not an issue. you have spend some relaxed time here if you want but I guess better options are available.

Ninh Binh is an absolutely magical place if you are staying away from the city and love cycling or hiking through nature. The places for tourist have too many tourist and they are just... rude. However, the part where there is nobody is just lovely and magical and calms the soul.

We were disappointed to stay only one night because the hotel was fully booked. This is a beautiful little resort with a brand-new design and great attention to detail. The staff were incredibly helpful and provided us with lots of useful information. They also helped arrange our transfer to Ha Long and tours around Ninh Binh. We were especially impressed by the bear sanctuary and Cuc Phuong National Park tour. The breakfast was delicious, the swimming pool was lovely, and the nighttime view from the third floor overlooking the pagoda tower and mountains was truly stunning. We will definitely recommend this hotel to others

So glad we booked Nihn Bihn.

So glad we booked Nihn Bihn. We stayed at the Hang Mua Ecolodge and loved it. We hiked Hang Mua at 5:30 am (lots of steps but an amazing view totally worth it). Since we were staying at the lodge we had access to the hike and the water fields outside of business hours. We went to the top of Bai Dinh Pagoda and took the happy journey through the cultural tourism complex. We did the hike up to see the Buddha -worshipping cave and the mother Goddess Worshipping cave. It a worth the hike but hot and sweaty. We rented a motor bike and had fun riding out to see the rice fields and have a beer and local snacks. We wondered around Tam Coc and enjoyed people watching.

The old town center Hao Lu was my favorite.

The old town center Hao Lu was my favorite. We enjoyed walking the area and the lights. Lovely stroll, food, live entertainment and cultural sites. The Trang An boat tour was awesome and we took route 2 that included three temples and four caves. We also had Massages every night in our room. We like wandering the back streets and roads and found the area delightful with little treats not in the tour books and views of unusual subjects. We always felt safe no matter what alley or road we were on,

We were originally meant to be staying in a 5* hotel in Ninh Binh but after speaking to friends we were advised to stay in Tam Coc. I changed our hotel to this Homestay which I was little apprehensive about as we’d never stayed in a Homestay before. But wow!!! The family, the location, the room, the cleanliness, the service. Everything was amazing. We booked a full day tour upon arrival which was fantastic. The breakfast was great and they even packed us a packed lunch for our overnight train to Hue. I highly recommend staying here.

Anna and her family made our stay in Tam Coc so amazing. They were kind, attentive and did everything they possibly could to make our stay comfortable. Anna helped us arrange our drivers, our activities and gave us tips on what to do in the area. If you go to Tam Coc/Ninh Binh, I’d highly recommend staying here, the location is very central to everything and Anna’s family are such amazing people. Highly recommend, thank you again Anna and Family!

The staff were extremely helpful. They helped anything for us like in a 4 star hotel. Helped in airport transfer, local trip and train ticket organization anything. They fully focused to our customer experience in Ninh Binh area. Therefore, we are really enjoyed the stay in Tam Coc Westlake Homestay. The place was quite and 5 min walk from the busy main street. The menu breakfast was very good. The room was nice and clean.

Located in a quiet and cute area. The village is nice, and the homestay located just by the water. Most Ninh Binh attractions are accessible by bicycle, as well as Tam Coc if you miss the city vibe. The rooms are spacious, clean, cosy, authentic but newly built. For this price it is unusual to find this quality in Vietnam (in the homestay category). The owner is nice and helpful. Bonus: a very cute cat

Amazing location with views of the hills. Walking distance to must see ancient temple in the hills. Easy cycle (bikes provided by the hotel) to other must see areas of Ninh Binh. Local restaurants or short taxi / cycle to Tam Coc with loads of options. On top of that charming hotel with excellent service
