This has become our sanctuary in Hermanus - return visit - a tranquil and relaxing setting. Professional and friendly staff, exceptional well maintained facilities and rooms. Clean, luxurious and spacious bedroom and bathroom. The breakfast is of a very high standard and the views are absolutely breathtaking. Will certainly be back next year if not sooner! Also received a carwash from the local team ........

The hotel staff (especially Jainesha -I hope I spelled her name correctly!) were very nice and professional. I got a massage at the hotel and it was a very good experience too. Highly recommended this hotel for anyone looking for a high quality hotel and welcoming staff.

Harbor House Hotel in Hermanus enjoys the most prominent of positions in the heart of the old harbor area, flanked by the seaside and the bustling center of this holiday town.

It’s a premium convenient location! Get the Harbour (not the Square) it’s just more charming. The staff is friendly, helpful and overall superb and the massage saved me from back pains from driving for hours. All genuinely good.

    Hermanus is lovely. Lots of art galleries, super coffee stops.. nice walk around. We enjoyed the Hemel en Aarde Valley - wine Region - fantastic wine farms with friendly tastings, fantastic food and just a very very beautiful valley to drive up. Definitely not to be missed!!!

    Hermanus is a tourist attraction and a holiday destination. It can be expensive but if you know your way around you can find best food for a reasonable price. Very clean and safe. It is always on top on my list of holiday destinations. I love the beach. Great brazmata coffee at Engen.

    We would certainly like to visit during the whale watching...

    We would certainly like to visit during the whale watching season from June - November otherwise not much to do but the walks. The Chard was surprisingly the best restaurant as the La Polenta and the Bootlegger do not compare in taste in quality. Rossi’s Italian is also recommended. The Marine Hotel great position and seaside lounge lovely scones and coffee and probably the best location to view Walker Bay for the whales. New Harbour has The Rock Restaurant with a great view. But Old Harbour is more enchanting.

    Hermanus is a small town ideally located for multiple activities and close to the vineyards. It has a multiple choice of coffee places , restaurants . We went horse riding, walking, hiking, and even spotted whales . Hermanus can be used as a base for travelling to the garden route , vineyards, Cape Town ...a lovely part of the world!

    South Africa's premier coastal resort is very cosmopolitan, with a wide choice of good restaurants and beaches. There are amazing waterside restaurants, but beware: there are lots of steep steps to be negotiated.

    The shops are all individual, which is nice, there is plenty to do, Bettys Bay is a short drive and you can see penguins in a natural habitat, price was reasonable if you wanted to walk along the boardwalk to see more penguins, only R40 each. Certain times of year you can see Whales, they come here to have their babies. There are trips to see whales and dolphins. Or you can just relax at the numerous cafes, very pleasant town.

    Everything about the hotel is good! Very comfortable rooms which are tastefully decorated. Very friendly and helpful attentive staff. Restaurant cuisine is tasty and well priced. Senior management are hands on to ensure top quality service. Wonderful central location in Hermanus overlooking the sea within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and coastal path. There is nowhere better to stay in Hermanus.

    Lovely guesthouse. Staff were really nice. Room was great and so worth getting a sea view room, wow. Breakfast was OK. Thankfully they had a free shuttle into Hermanus as it was not walkable although it didn’t start until 2pm, so we had to wait 40ish mins for Ubers. If we came again we’d stay in Hermanus but this is 10 mins out and the shuttle makes the value for money worth it
