The hotel was a pleasant surprise as I didn't know what to expect. The breakfasts had a large choice & dinners were tasty. The bar/coffee bar area was very pleasant.

The owner is a lovely gentleman who welcomed us very warmly. The accommodation is so much more beautiful than the website could even depict. I would heartily recommend this accommodation. It's one of the best self-catering places that I have stayed in.

Many South African towns we've passed through are dirty, run down and not worth a visit. Montagu proved the exception. The town is quaint, well maintained, clean and has many interesting aspects to explore.

Neat and comfortable apartment. Garden pretty.

Neat and comfortable apartment. Garden pretty. However the room is not dark enough too much light shine into it from outside at night. The fridge was very noisy when trying to sleep. Shower door to low my husband bumped his head on it. Location is perfect. Booking in and out work well without staff. Email confirmation made it easy.

Unfortunately, the alternative chalet was not up to standard. The bedding and pillows were severely stained and soiled, and I had to request clean replacements. Furthermore, the bathroom taps and shower hose were broken and dirty, which added to the overall unpleasantness of my stay. Given the subpar conditions and the fact that my original booking was not honored, I believe that a full refund is justified. The experience was not worth the amount I paid, and I hope that you will take my complaint seriously and take necessary actions to prevent such incidents in the future.

Montagu is my favourite little town.

Montagu is my favourite little town. There are very interesting places to visit. The best is Cape Dry Fruit Bistro and the little shop. JP Viljoen is really a very professional and friendly person. They have such a variety of dried fruit and nuts for sale and their Malay Curry Chutney is to die for. The museum is very interesting. We have visited Montagu a few times and each time has been so enjoyable.

Picturesque historical town. Has all the shops needed. Played 9 holes of golf. Typical small town course but in good shape and enjoyable. Not busy at all. Round cost next to nothing. A stop at the cape dry fruit market essential.

There are 3 Cottages available on the Bon Accord Farm, in the lovely Keisie Valley - only a few kilometer away from Montagu. All are build in a row, so no disturbance from others - the view from the Stoep is phantastic!! The cottage has all needed as self caterer, was clean and had comfy beds. Fotos and explanation on Booking are absolutely correct. Contact and communication with hosts are easy and very friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much and can highly recommend the Cottage.

We stayed one night at Vineyard Montagu, we were lucky enough to meet the owner of the hotel who was very lovely and super friendly. As we were there on a Sunday the owner had kindly prebooked us a table at the only restaurant open in town. Which was super thoughtful and greatly appreciated as we hadn’t even though about it! The grounds, vines and gardens were lovely as was the out building for breakfast.

The hotel was delightful and beautifully situated in Montagu. The hotel owner, Amike, was lovely and kind and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was fantastic, french toast with homemade jam. The room was spacious, cleanly and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely recommend.
