The cottage is a homely, warm and cozy apartment. It is much more appealing than it looks on pictures. The owners are very professional, welcoming and always on hand if you need anything. I will most certainly call again and I would recommend the cottage to anyone traveling to Lilongwe be it on a work trip or vacation.

Me and my family loved our stay at Sungeni cottage! It was such a lovely and nice house and property! It was like coming to a paradise with our own garden and swimmingpool. The brew outside was amazing! We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and sunrises, and swimming in Lake Malawi The house is big with 4 big bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Nice, big and convenient beds. The master bedroom is amazing! Great living room with a lot of sitting space in nice sofas. You have everything you need in the house for a perfect stay. The housekeepers were so nice and kind, and did everything to make us get the best holiday! The communication with the owner was excellent, and payment no problem. We would love to come back, and can strongly recommend this place for your stay in Mangochi. 😊

We loved the excellent view on the Shire River: the view from the terrace is outstanding. The personal is friendly, the fish for the dinner was very well prepared - even with the lack of electricity- they have prepared it on an open fire, They have organised a game drive and a boat tour for us, what was really nice: a guy from Shire Eco Safari Camp took us on a wonderful trip where we saw the hippos and crocodiles and much more - I really recomend it!
