Our one-week stay in Lifou with Christoph and Diana was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, their warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home. Christoph and Diana went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. They cooked for us multiple times using , provided fresh fruits and vegetables every day, and even shared a beautiful Christmas dinner together. Christoph also took us on a fantastic boat trip to Kiki Beach, adding an extra touch of adventure to our visit. The house was perfect for a longer stay, and we particularly enjoyed the frequent barbecues and the sense of community they fostered. It’s not a 4 star hotel but the attention to detail and the genuine effort they put into looking after us made our trip unforgettable. Definitely great to learn more about local customs and culture. If you’re planning a visit to Lifou, I highly recommend staying with Christoph and Diana. Their hospitality, local knowledge, and generosity will make your experience truly special, especially for longer stays like ours.

We had a wonderful week at Les Gites de Robinson. Communication with Carole had been excellent in the weeks prior to our holiday and when we did arrive she was so helpful and made us feel very welcome. The gite is spacious and spotlessly clean and the kitchen has all that is needed to prepare meals. The beds are very comfortable, the showers in both the modern bathrooms are excellent and, although we did not make use of it, the swimming pool is in a lovely garden setting. The gite is conveniently located in a quiet residential area, only about 300m from a well-stocked supermarket and bakery. We would absolutely recommend staying here. Beautiful garden and surrounds, very peaceful. River and waterfall at bottom of property. Highlights for us were just chilling in the evening on the balcony smelling the amazing perfumes of the night flowers and also at first light when all the birds waking up. For sure we saw the rare Ptilope Vlou Vlou come and hang out right near us but we suspect we also bore witness to the work of the Elves of Kanak...truly magical place.

The bungalow is spacious, updated and well-equipped as a studio, and tastefully decorated. The covered veranda adds another space outside, and the spa is a bonus along with sounds of the creek water flowing nearby. Beautiful red tropical flowers and large plants gave privacy. We came in the hot season so the air-conditioning was very appreciated. Excellent communication in English with the host.
