Access to a lake for a cold swim. Excellent views. Great access to the Geysir across the street. The room was huge and amazing.

Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodation 5 km from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. Everything! Location, staff, food - dinner and breakfast, cleaninness! The view of the room was super nice! Breakfast was really nice, with good options on the buffet but also the chef cooking fresh eggs and omelette!

Fosshotel Mývatn is located next to Lake Mývatn, 6.8 km to the Mývatn Nature Baths. The hotels provides free WiFi and free private parking. Super comfy, clean hotel and room, nice sauna, very friendly staff. I would say this hotel deserves 5* IMHO. Hotel kindly connected two rooms for me (family of 5) what was very useful. I can recommend this hotel without a doubt.

Nice breakfast and thanks for the beverages and snacks throughout the day/evening! Nice town close by with great food hall. Hot tub and sauna was nice. Clean room and comfortable bed.

Opened in July 2018, Hótel Kría is situated in Vík. Among the various facilities are a garden and a bar. There is a restaurant. The black sand beaches begin about 5 minutes' walk from the hotel. Excellent experience, and excellent staff. Highly recommended.

Jacuzzi outside is a plus. The breakfast was super complete. The receptionist guy was extremely friendly and we were called for the northern lights.
