The property is absolutely beautiful and relaxing, incorporating the local environment and culture. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The traditional Sri Lankan food was wonderful. All around a fantastic experience, we will be back. Thank you!

I will tell anyone coming to Sri Lanka - stay with Ravi at Margosa Mountain Villa. Best stay on our trip and top 5 lifetime. Stunning setting. Perfect room. Delicious food -organic rice, fruit, fish etc. right from the property, expertly cooked by Ravi’s wife Sewwandi. Pool is sublime. Birds galore (and easy to find and ID with Ravi’s help). Booked for two days. Stayed for 4. Great spot for excursions Dambulla, Sigiriya, and beyond, but we were happy just to relax and meditate on our good fortune to be there. Ravi spent 23 years as tour guide and it shows both in his care and expertise. I know this review sounds like a plug from one of his friends but I promise that 5 days ago we’d never met. But, yes, we have definitely made a new friend. Stay as long as you can.

Janik & his mum are such lovely people - they are really attentive, so friendly & helpful. As has been mentioned before, the food here is delicious from the homemade granola & fruit, omelettes, pancakes at breakfast (you won’t need lunch!) to the great curries in the evening, all made freshly to order. We took one of their evening (starts at 2pm!) safaris which was great value - the National Park is very close to the property.

Everything was outstanding! From the moment we arrived, Leel's mother welcomed us and showed us the rooms. They are big and spacious, the bathrooms well maintained. The AC works well. Leel is really kind and helpful. He has made the surroundings a heaven of peace. We highly recommend staying there (especially if you plan on a safari for the next morning as Leel as the jeep and a very kind driver).

I would like to thank our host Franzi, Kiki and the rest of the team for treating us with the upmost respect and kindness. The wonderful staff was very attentive and made everyone feel at home at all times. Everything has been taken care of from the day we arrived to when we left. Breakfast was fantastic with a lot of varieties. Everything was freshly made with passion and love. Franzi would occasionally give us a ride with the tuktuk when going out, or in need of a quick transport. Her driving skills are simply unmatched and deserves mentioning. The days felt nice and long as the property offers a safe space to retreat from the busy, chaotic roads further south, making you enjoy every second at the property more. Stunning views from all corners into the vast ocean with unforgettable sunsets leave you speechless. Our trip through SriLanka was rapidly transformed from an adventurous busy holiday to a perfect relaxing safe space with direct access to the beach. Leaving this place makes me extremely sad but I am hoping to return soon again to spend some more quality time with the wonderful people I’ve met here, and can call friends. We had an amazing 11 days stay here :) Spacious, clean, sunny, great breakfast and great value for money, big kitchen, beautiful garden, and amazing hosts! Super helpful and communicative. We didn’t feel like guests or tourists in the town, we felt as if this was our home, it was nice for us to be in a neighborhood with locals as well, so it was perfect for a long terms stay. The bedroom was very comfortable, there was AC but we switched mostly to using the ceiling fans because they were so strong and effective :) It’s Close to the train station (we had a perfect day trip to Galle and we took the train) and also close to bus stops. There is a quiet beach just a few minutes away, feels like our own private beach, we didn’t see other tourists there, there’s a relaxed restaurant too for any meal or drink you may want. although the waves seemed strong so we didn’t go in the water. Very short Tuktuk ride to Weligama, also close to mirissa, and we also enjoyed riding to madiha as well. The breakfasts were so good! Best value for money, perfect mix of super authentic Sri Lankan food and western staples (there were always eggs). we loved the fun cakes!! And enjoyed trying the foods we didn’t see at restaurants. We were super lucky we were the only guests there, so we had a perfect stay. The villa is a really good option for a group, or a family, because the kitchen and couch and balcony are technically common-shared with the other guests. Also a good choice if you are renting a Tuktuk or motorcycle because you will have the driveway or front yard to park it.

We recently stayed at Samadhi Lagoon Villa for 3 days, and it was a truly peaceful and memorable experience for our family. The villa is beautifully situated, offering breathtaking lagoon views that create the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. The rooms were clean, spacious, and tastefully designed, combining both comfort and elegance. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile, which made us feel genuinely welcome. The food was fresh and delicious, with a delightful variety of local dishes. We also enjoyed a wonderful kayak boat ride on the lagoon, which added to the charm of the serene environment. Waking up to the sounds of nature and watching the sunset over the lagoon was truly magical, providing an ideal setting for meditation.
