Good wifi (but not in the room where i stayed); very clean; warm water; ask if u want to have ur towel changed; good breakfast; big areas to sit around; also balcony to smoke; free coffee, water and tea; 3-5 min to shops, some restaurants; maybe 8min walk to center; 30 min walk to train station; possibility to wash ur clothes (5RM); the stuff is really nice, welcoming and helpful with all u need; locker in the room (u need to bring ur own locker); for me the breakfast was enough (but for those who eat a rich breakfast might me not enough); comfortable bed; u can iron ur clothes, hair dryer available. Basically, u have all u need.

The owner of Baba not only understands the hospitality business, but also has a good sense of who to get on board to take care of the guests - the reception staff provided an impeccable service. This level of attention, kindness, and hospitality are almost unheard of. Their readiness to go the extra mile was really something I haven’t experienced in any place in the last 15 years I’ve travelled.
On top of that, the place itself is gorgeous. We stayed with my partner in a big room with a window, and we were happy with the cleanliness, nice little extras we found, and also how quiet it was. After sunbathing at the beach - which is only 10-minute walk away - we could hang out at the reception/bar or a little terrace, and enjoy some complimentary drinks. And when we got hungry, we simply went downstairs to one of the restaurants; there are plenty of fresh and affordable options to pick from. But that was only necessary for lunch and dinner, because we had breakfast at the hotel, and I have to say it was really delicious!
Honestly, I’d just move in here if I could. I really wish the owner a lot of success. The guest experience was clearly mapped out down to the smallest detail, and we loved every minute of it.

What a charming place. We were warmly greeted as family and shown to a huge, spotless and magnificent room. Our host’s son in law is the chef who prepared a flawless Char koey tiaw, the essential local dish of noodles fresh bean sprouts and prawns, for our dinner, along with a delicious Lai chi kang, a fruity drink we’ve never sampled before, home made by our hostess. Our hosts took us out to a local Chinese breakfast place to eat like a local and everyone could not have been more congenial! There’s a lovely pool also. The place is a bit isolated outside of town, which makes it a quiet respite from the hubbub of Kota Baru. We had the best sleep of our trip here!
