The hotel is great. The architecture of this place is mind-blowing, the rooms are very pretty, the pools are clean and offerring a pleasant swim, the breakfast buffet was delicious, and the staff is really nice. The fact that the hotel is right by the beach and that you can lie on the beach and go swim in the pool at the same time sets this hotel apart from most hotels in the Rethymno city. Another great thing about the location of the hotel is that you can walk to the nearby tavernas for lunch or dinner or to the city centre (it's a 35-minutes walk to the old town). We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone. We also liked the "adults-only" atmosphere - it was very peaceful at the pools and the beach. The hotel and the whole city also feels very safe and there is nobody who would disturb you at the beach (as it is common on some other touristic places).

This was by far the best hotel experience that I've ever had! Already at the welcoming they were so kind to us and gave us Prosecco. The staff was extremely helpful with carrying the luggage and providing us with information about the Restaurants/Shops around the Hotel. The beds were very comfortable and it was an elegant room. The beach bar, the pools, everything was amazing and also very clean. The absolute Highlight was the Restaurant staff. Me and my mom have several allergies and the staff went trough the whole buffet every morning and evening with us to make sure nothing is contaminated. They also cooked special gluten free delicious food for me. A big thank you to the Restaurant for being so kind and warm-hearted!!! I will never forget this vacation and would love to come back again!

Centuries of History, Days of Sunshine

The largest Greek island, mountainous Crete has stunning beaches, plenty of history and as much or little nightlife as you want. Party town Malia has many bars, clubs and restaurants on its Strip.

Along the coast is the capital Heraklion, a bustling city home to many Crete hotels on the beach, and a Venetian castle guarding its port. Its archaeological museum includes finds from the island’s Minoan era, while just inland are the Roman remains of Knossos.

Also boasting a Venetian castle is Rethymnon, a popular resort with a good number of Crete hotels with private pools on Booking.com. Loggerhead turtles nest in season on the sandy beaches here and at Chania, an important port with an attractive waterfront set against the backdrop of mountains.

On the other side of the island is Aghios Nikolaos, a small fishing town with a picturesque harbour. Just north is Elounda, a popular family resort, and offshore is Spinaloga island, inspiration behind the book ‘The Island’. Matala in the south has a bohemian vibe and intriguing cliff dwellings, while Paleokastro in the east borders Europe’s largest palm forest at Vai.

We stayed there for a night but what can I tell about this hotel !! Location ? Amazing . Staff always smiling and willing to help. Restaurant and pools were clean and quite comfortable! What impressed us the most was the stuff at the bar during the night! Stratos and Yiannos if I spell them names correctly! Stratos with his intelligent sense of humor was not only there to give us the drink but to have a small talk with us every time we wanted to with a huge smile on his face !! Special thanks to this guy for making our night there and recommending some amazing places to visit in chania !! Yiannos as well was very efficient and quite fast on picking up the empty glasses from our table ! We definitely recommend this hotel and looking forward to come back !!

Had a lovely stay with my wife and two young kids. The staff were extremely professional and helpful. They accommodated our request for an earlier check in and even gave us a complimentary room upgrade. There were lots of small touches that made our stay very pleasant such as complimentary champagne / wine in our room, welcome drinks, etc. We made use of a number of the hotel’s facilities including the main restaurant, the gym, pool and the kids club and were very happy with everything. We look forward to staying here again the next time we are in Crete.

You feel welcomed from the very first step in the hotel and during all the stay. Staff is just lovely! Very professional, friendly, and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxing, and we feel so recharged after our vacation. Also the hotel is very children friendly, all staff members were communicating with our 2 y.o. kid. A lot of activities were proposed every day for adults and for kids, like zumba, yoga, swimming pool activities, and disco for kids. The food is very tasty with many options to choose from 😋

It's a really lovely, quaint and visually appealing place with plenty of shops, cafes and food options. We found everything we needed for our month long stay. The beaches were quite small, but lovely, and the museums were interesting to visit. We decided not to drive there, as the roads are narrow in many places, but the bus station is right in the heart of the town if needed.

We were sadly only here for a quick overnight stay.

We were sadly only here for a quick overnight stay. But during our week in Crete - where we travelled to Chania, Heraklion, and Rethymno - Rethymno was by some margin my favourite destination. Where Chania's historic centre felt as if it had been totally given over to tourism, Rethymno felt more like a substantial town with plenty to explore.

Difficult to judge because we came early in the season when...

Difficult to judge because we came early in the season when there was a cold wind blowing and not all the places were open. However, there didn't seem to be many places to eat [not a problem for us as there was one excellent place, though would be a problem peak season] . There were a number of apparently abandoned and ill-maintained buildings, which made the place appear less attractive.

Agios Nikolaos is a beautiful and charming area, The area feels authentic and warm, offering a true Cretan experience, beautiful natural landscapes, and a vibrant cosmopolitan lifestyle. The area is also rich in history. A wonderful destination with something for everyone.

We really liked Lerapetra, though Feb, much was open, with...

We really liked Lerapetra, though Feb, much was open, with colourful street decorations in readiness for the upcoming carnival. Nice promanade to wander along, pleasant sitting spots to watch the world go by and even a walking/ running track close to the hotel. Friendly people.

Visited at the beginning of October and a lot of places beginning to close for the season. Town quiet but pleasant. Unfortunately the ferry to Agios Nikolaos does not run anymore so it’s a long drive if you want to visit

It was about a ten minutes walk uphill part way to Koutouloufari, loads of restaurants and bars, a fabulous experience. Walk a little further and you come to Piscopiano, also excellent. Walk down the hill and you come to restaurants with Greek dancing and plate smashing, also excellent.

Small and nice city with many good tavernas/shops.Nice and clean beaches there.It is a must to see it category. Lovely local people everywhere (shops and tavernas), good portions of food for correct price.

For those who want a quiet get-away and yet close shopping,...

For those who want a quiet get-away and yet close shopping, Kissamos is hard to beat. Close to the port for Balos-Gramvousa excursions and secluded for a wonderful relaxed time with your loved one. Gramvousa Restaurant is a must, a short drive to a memorable dining experience. Loved snorkeling and fish sightings around rocky areas. Pictures cannot capture the panoramic breath-taking setting.
