It's the ideal getaway for a short vacation.

It's the ideal getaway for a short vacation. There are numerous short walks and dining options. Henley Lake and the Millennium Reserve are particular favourites and for a longer trip Castlepoint is hard to beat.

If it wasn’t for the purpose we were there for Masterton is a great place to explore my son and I tried a cafe there our facilities were of convenience to why we were there though. We would like to explore more next time

Our 2-night stay was about doing a day trip to Castlepoint...

Our 2-night stay was about doing a day trip to Castlepoint which we achieved. Fabulous spot with lovely sandy beach. Can recommend stopping @ the local store for a feed of Blue Cod & chips. Couldn't have been fresher. Delicious food @ Tripoli & CBK each evening. Coffee @ Strada was good too. Queen Elizabeth Park is worth checking out. Weather not so good so didn't get to see enought of it or do any of the other walks.

The travel is 6-7 hours from Auckland.

The travel is 6-7 hours from Auckland. Maybe 2 nights is just right if you want to see all the attractions of Masterton. Unfortunately, we only went to Castlepoint due to time constraints. There is a dairy where we ate lunch.

The Lodge was easy to get to as it was situated along the main road in Masterton. Accessible to amenities around yet private and tranquil. The bed was super comfy and we slept really well. Staff was really friendly, helpful and accommodating. Good WiFi which really helped us in searching up well rated cafes and there was one just within walking distance -The Coffee Ride Cafe. The Lodge is also really close to The Clareville Bakery along SH 2 towards Carterton. We also enjoyed the TV programmes which they had available on their network.

The cottage is a sweet, traditional little spot - cost, comfy and well-kitted out. Kitchen has everything you need to make simple meals & the big couches are perfect for lazing around. It’s close to Masterton and super quiet - the only noise you’ll hear might be from the cows in the paddock across the road. The hosts are very responsive & helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. 👌

Very tidy unit in quiet motel complex in Masterton suburbs with a rural outlook. Nice room, spacious, comfortable, self-contained. Very good value accommodation. Because it is towards the edge of town need transport to access.

We were in Masterton for our 10 year old son’s tennis tournament. The Manager Rupi was so friendly and accommodating. The property is really lovely and well maintained with clean, spacious, comfortable rooms.
