The staff was very friendly, helpful and nice. Compared to other hotels in NY in this category this one was the best of them all. And it's no exaggeration. Very good price for what you get. I usually search for a long time when I want to book a Hotel and I was very curious that this Hotel had nearly only very good reviews. Usually a strange sign for Hotels in NY but after the stay I can understand why most people just had a great experience. They deserve the great reviews. Awesome location. Close to all the sights in lower Manhattan and not even a minute to walk to Fulton Station which is very well connected to all Subway-Lines. Also the concierge stood out to me. Very friendly and very helpful even if you're just looking for a nice place to eat. It was really a great experience and I'll definitely go there again.

What can i say? The city that never sleeps is really true!

What can i say? The city that never sleeps is really true!I came in New York 30 years ago and coming back has been wonderful. New York gives everyone the possibility to live and experience the true American Dream! Getting around is very easy because of the extension pf the subway that covers all the city not only Manhattan, in fact i’va benn in Brooklyn and Queens too. I’va been in New Jersey also using the NJ transit bus. I eat usually in fast food to have more time to viait the city.

We so enjoyed our visit to the St. Regis Bar! It was wonderful and the staff members went out of their way to make us feel welcome, as always!! The value for the $$ was outstanding!!! Great Irish Coffees on a cold winter's Night!!!! Many thanks to all!! The decorations in the shop windows made it worth walking in the city on a cold winter's night!! New York is an incredible destination, but during the holiday period everything is crowded, with long queues everywhere and hotels often overpriced for what they offer. In our experience, the DUMBO area is a much better option for both accommodation and dining.

I always wanted to visit NYC at Christmastime. We decided to arrive at the tail end of the season thinking we would avoid crowds but is seemed like everyone had the same idea. Lovely displays & fabulous shows but I will avoid the cold and keep to a couple of off season days to see my favorite live theater experiencees. Just in Time and Masquerade were amazing and worth the cold walks to the theater.

We intended to stay within Manhattan for the entire duration...

We intended to stay within Manhattan for the entire duration of our trip, so 3 nights/4 days was exactly enough. The subway system is pretty easy to navigate and it's cheap to use. Not exactly the cleanliest facilities, but the value for money makes them the best mode of transportation available. There are plenty of activities and sightseeing to do. My advice would be: 1) Book your tour tickets early, especially if you're going during the holiday season. We weren't able to visit the SUMMIT because it was already fully booked several days in advance. 2) For food, you can't go wrong with the various grab-and-go places and kiosks scattered all around the city. Here's an important tip: be prepared to stand in long queues for almost every top attraction. For example: I had Joe's Pizza on my to-do list, because I heard so much about it. The slices were tasty and I enjoyed my experience there, but the catch is that I had to wait around 30 minutes in line and pay around 1.5-2x more than what I could have paid in similar restaurants that are less popular but perhaps just as delicious. 3) Not every main attraction tour is worth it. I get it, FOMO is a real thing and nobody wants to go to a touristic place like NYC and not try to clear as many things off of the checklist as possible. With that said, you really don't need to go to the rooftop of every main attraction, unless that's really your thing. The Manhattan skyline is beautiful from any one of those places. One example which I immediately noticed is "The Beam" which is an extra perk that you pay for at the Top of the Rock rooftop at Rockefeller Center. This was the first genuine "tourist trap" that I saw during my stay there. Just go up an additional floor, which any admission ticket holder can do, and you'll have a great view of the entire city.

The street is full of the smell of weeds.

The street is full of the smell of weeds. In the subway, we can always expect to see some homeless people, but when we got out of the subway, we can see all the fancy buildings. People are busy, and the price goes high everywhere. We didn't see many kids, and my wife said New York is a city for adults. It's a live picture of capitalism.

Midtown of Manhattan, center of New York so very easy to get to either downtown (one world trade building, Wall Street, china town) or uptown (Empire State building, Times Square, Central Park). And of course subways or restaurants are at every corner. Very nice and friendly staff. The street is full of flowers and plants business so it is very clean and fresh. It is really the highlight of this hotel. Parking for free (not at the same street) but the hotel will cover it. Quiet compare with the other surrounding streets.

Really exceptional location! Right next to Times Square, you are at the heart of Midtown Manhattan. But still very quite when it comes to sleeping. As an old hotel it gives a nice vintage feeling. Friendly staff makes your stay really enjoyable. Don’t worry about the facilities (restaurant, fridge, kettle etc) because there are 7/24 open shops and deli’s in the same street. Value for money definitely is 10/10
