Pros: Very intimate setting, with only 9 rooms, each one with a particular and unique feel and decor. Very quiet despite being in the city center. Location is unbeatable, just feet away from the castle. The restaurants are beautiful and great. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

Boasting stylish rooms with plasma-screen TVs and wall-sized magnetic maps, this refurbished hotel is 2625 feet from Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station and 984 feet from the Royal Mile. Was supposed to be in the single room but ended up being in the double room. Bed was amazingly comfortable, lots of room space, enough storage for one but maybe a little tight for two persons. TV was a very big smart tv, so good it was dangerous for a holiday where you’re supposed to go out and not stay and watch tv lol. Amazing location! Just outside Victoria street and a 5 minute walk from the Vennel viewpoint of the castle. Felt very safe (woman and alone) around the place even at night despite the area having pubs. Money was well beyond worth it.

Just yards from Holyrood Park, Edinburgh Marriott Hotel Holyrood features an award-winning restaurant and spa. With Edinburgh Castle just a mile away, guests have free WiFi access and large rooms. The rooms are spacious and confortable. The staff is super friendly and always keen to assist. The location is great and breakfast is quite good. I also found the wifi connection to be particularily fast and stable. Gym is very well equipped (it not only has treadmills as is usual with most hotels).
