Spacious, liked having a washing machine, very close to subway station, and many restaurants. Let me check in slightly early which was rare I found in Japan.

Room facilities spacious and clean. Didn’t really see reception staff as not based on ground floor but no issues for them to deal with as all was perfect.

ICI HOTEL Asakusabashi bevindt zich in het centrum van Tokyo, op 2 minuten lopen van Ichogaoka Hachiman Shrine en een paar minuten lopen van Hulic Hall & Hulic Conference. Lovely lovely staff. Super clean room. Great breakfast and location. First time in Tokyo and Asia as a whole. Great to be close to all the anime stuff in Akihabara to get it out of our system. Plenty of restaurants around and a handy 7/11 that is 24h. They helped us forward our luggage to the next hotel. Managed to keep two large suitcases open the whole time so I think that's a good amount of space. Very quiet and the room gets really dark.

Situated 1.5 km from Sensoji Temple, MIMARU Tokyo Ueno North provides free WiFi in all areas. The accommodation features a hot tub. The units have a kitchen with a microwave and a fridge. Firm recommendation for larger families/groups. We stayed at the Mimaru Tokyo Ueno North hotel which is made up entirely of suites of various sizes. We had a suite for six (for five of us), three adults (my wife and I plus 21 year-old son) and two teenage kids, 15 & 17. The suite has four single beds, more like 3/4 doubles (based on U.K. bed sizes). Fine for one adult, plenty of room. The beds are quite firm, certainly firmer than I’m used to at home, but very comfortable. Lots of pillows and some of them are double sided with the rice grain type filling on one side. Others are soft like a feather pillow (not sure of the filling but they were just like they were filled with duck down). There’s also two bunk beds which are similar size but narrower. My oldest son, 6ft, had no issue sleeping in it. There’s a kitchen area and seating for six. It’s equipped with a hot plate, sink, fridge/freezer and kettle along with cutlery and plates for six. Sharp knives and chopping board, plus pots & pans under the sink. We didn’t cook in the room, but we bought in bread, butter, cereal and cheese for breakfast to fuel up before we started the day. There’s no toaster, but you can borrow these from reception for no charge (Mimaru hotels have a variety of what they call “rental” items but they’re all free to borrow). There’s a lounge area with TV (all Japanese channels) but we borrowed an Apple TV from reception so we could watch Netflix etc. It’s about an 8 minute walk to Ueno station and about 10-12 minutes from Ueno Centre (lots of restaurants and shops). Lawson and Family Mart within a few minutes for bits & pieces and there’s a larger supermarket in the station (although it seems more expensive than the konbinis for the stuff we’ve been buying for breakfast). The only thing I could say against it, was the lack of shelf space in the wardrobe for things like t-shirts & shorts etc that you’d normally lay flat rather than hang up.

Only a 5-minute walk from Asakusa Subway Station and Tawaramachi Subway Station, B:CONTE Asakusa offers modern accommodations with a kitchen and an in-room launderette. This property is definitely worth the stay! Eventho its not right infront of the metro station, there’s sooo many interesting spots around the area. You get to discover the area better! Sensoji temple is so near! Kappabashi is just around the corner as well! The accommodation is spacious!

I had an amazing stay at SAKE Bar Hotel Asakusa. • Location was great. It was a 5-minute walk from the Asakusa station (Toei Asakusa line). It was surrounded by multiple convenience stores as well. It was also in one of the smaller streets so while it's in the main area, you can still enjoy a lot of quiet. • Great room and amenities - the room was quaint, which is expected in most hotels in Tokyo, but it provided all the basic comforts you need (water heater worked well, air conditioning was cool, bed and pillows had the right firmness). There was a water dispenser on each floor. The rooftop was a nice surprise with the views and free sake. Fast and consistent internet in the rooms is enough for video calls and online work. • Great customer service - While the check-in was automated, the front desk was ready to assist and answer any questions. They also gave me a free bottle of sake upon checkout. • Adequate breakfast spread - The breakfast was good. There wasn't many options but they always had one egg dish 2 viands, and onigiri.
