Conveniently set in the center of Porto, Ribeira Douro Hotel has 2-star accommodations close to Palacio da Bolsa and Ferreira Borges Market. Don’t be fooled by the 2 star rating. I’ve stayed in 5 star hotels that weren’t as impressive. The complimentary glass of White Port on arrival set the tone for things to come. The property has been freshly renovated and has a very modern and stylish aesthetic. Everything was spotless. The staff and owner were all fantastic, lovely to deal with and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast and check-in/out times are very generous. You don’t need to be up at 8am when you’re supposed to be on holiday! Location was perfect, in the historic district of Porto, practically beside the Douro. None of the major landmarks or quality restaurants that we visited required more than a 20 minute walk. The staff had some helpful suggestions of dining options and bars. Many great bars and restaurants are within just 5-10 minutes. The breakfast buffet at the hotel had great variety to suit any taste, with hot and cold options, fresh fruit and pastries. I think we benefited from an introductory price as the property was new to Booking.com, but would gladly return at the very reasonable full rate for the quality of experience (this is not a paid endorsement!). We enjoyed a week in the top floor duplex suite and the space and balcony were fantastic. I would absolutely recommend Ribeira Douro to any couples looking for a boutique hotel delight in Porto.

Well located in the center of Porto, ICON Duplo Ribeira is within a 2-minute walk of Ribeira Square and 300 yards of Palacio da Bolsa. Fantastic location, less than 5 minutes walking distance from all of Porto's landmarks. Polite staff, okay room (bit spacious would be better), solid breakfast.

Located conveniently in Porto, Torel Saboaria has air-conditioned rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a garden. So much to like. First, the location is in the old town with Walking access to some of the major historical sites. Staff, particularly Rodrigo at the front desk was so helpful and kind. Rodrigo offered us Porto wine and chocolates on arrival, booked restaurants and made recommendations. The Turkish bath and pool were wonderful to come home to after sightseeing. I will definitely come back here on my next visit to Porto, the hotel itself is beautiful, an oasis in the heart of the city

Location is great, 2min walk from metro station, 5min walk from shops like Zara walkable to many nearby locations. The room is fresh and clean and has bright lights. The kettle and coffee is a nice gesture.

For anyone who likes a variety of choice at breakfast that is fresh, abundant and interesting, it is highly recommended. The setup is great and innovative, modern, warm and Staff are also quick at replenishing whilst being attentive too, to any questions clients may have given the very attractive layout and display of food. The room was very spacious, really well lit with lots of light options, a great view and extremely central to Porto. Close to all major vantage views, the Cathedral, the Louis bridge and everywhere else is within walking distance...whilst also being away from the superbusiness of the crowds and yet so close to all the hot spots. Also use of the Metro...a few metres away (Sao Bento), whilst the transportation systems in Porto are very efficient and easy to use.
