Conveniently set in the center of Porto, Ribeira Douro Hotel has 2-star accommodations close to Palacio da Bolsa and Ferreira Borges Market. Don’t be fooled by the 2 star rating. I’ve stayed in 5 star hotels that weren’t as impressive. The complimentary glass of White Port on arrival set the tone for things to come. The property has been freshly renovated and has a very modern and stylish aesthetic. Everything was spotless. The staff and owner were all fantastic, lovely to deal with and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast and check-in/out times are very generous. You don’t need to be up at 8am when you’re supposed to be on holiday! Location was perfect, in the historic district of Porto, practically beside the Douro. None of the major landmarks or quality restaurants that we visited required more than a 20 minute walk. The staff had some helpful suggestions of dining options and bars. Many great bars and restaurants are within just 5-10 minutes. The breakfast buffet at the hotel had great variety to suit any taste, with hot and cold options, fresh fruit and pastries. I think we benefited from an introductory price as the property was new to Booking.com, but would gladly return at the very reasonable full rate for the quality of experience (this is not a paid endorsement!). We enjoyed a week in the top floor duplex suite and the space and balcony were fantastic. I would absolutely recommend Ribeira Douro to any couples looking for a boutique hotel delight in Porto.

The location was perfect it is exactly by the river and walking distance to everywhere (if you like to walk). Breakfast was good.

The 5-star Pestana Vintage Porto Hotel & World Heritage Site is romantically located along the Douro River, right on the historic Ribeira Square. The staff here are excellent, they were always helpful and friendly and professional. The breakfast was great, lots of variety suiting different tastes/needs/peculiarities, and they also had a cool cheese and wine/mimosa room at breakfast, if your holiday leans in that direction. And it did. It was my wife's birthday and they gave us complementary chocolates and champagne, which helped our holiday lean even further in that direction. Location is excellent, right in the middle of it, but still quiet inside. Bed was super comfortable.

Located in the Ribeira area the Descobertas Boutique Hotel by Aspasios, offers a modern and comfortable accommodations with free WiFi. Carla and Jose are great! They helped us with everything we needed. Great location and staff, very confortable and beautiful hotel. Only one point of improvement: too much perfum can be a bit uncomfortable.

Everything is absolutely perfect: location, view, food, room ( super clean and smell so nice ) staffs were very friendly and helpful.

VC Heritage Ribeira Porto offers accommodations within 0.4 miles of the center of Porto, with free Wifi and a kitchenette with a fridge, a stovetop, and kitchenware. We just have an amazing weekend at Porto. I organise a surprise for my husband for our 24 weeding anniversary. José Fernando was very helpful and always answering my questions very fast. The room was comfortable, very cleans with everything you need!!! The location of the room is perfect. You can do everything by walking. The staff is very attentive to our need. The days of our anniversary we come to a beautiful surprise in the room. I just want to say thank you to vc heritage to make our weekend in Porto possible and your help and kindness make the weekend More amazing!!! The picture of the room is exactly as it is.
