The breakfast is mainly japanese style and rather varied. Finally the staff is very nice and helpful. It is surrounded by beautiful Japanese nature, not too far from the mountains - perfect for hiking, climbing as well as snowboarding. Besides that, the hosts are very warm and welcoming, and their son is the cutest Japanese child I have met. The food is authentic Japanese - absolutely a must try! For breakfast there is an extensive choice, mostly Japanese style. The hotel is a 10 minutes walk from the train station. We stayed just one night because we wanted to do the Tateyama Kurobe alpine route a which starts in Toyama, so we didn't see much of Toyama.
