Amazing hotel with an interesting design. The funny thing is that you enter the hotel on the 6th floor. If your room is at 3rd flood you go up from your room to leave the hotel. The breakfast is really good. Great cocktail bar. The location is perfect.

Phenomenal location - a stone throw away from the train station and Royal Mile. The hotel’s also very modern and clearly had a refurbishment recently. The breakfast room was on the top floor - offering breathtaking views of the city. The staff was helpful and attentive to all our needs. Our room was well-designed and cosy - just what you need after a long day of sightseeing!

Very good hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The premises were clean, well-organised, and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was a very good size. Although I don’t smoke, I noticed there was a sheltered smoking area in the courtyard for those who do. The breakfast was excellent, and the bar area was perfect for a last nightcap. Having a kettle and daily water in the room was also a nice touch.

FAQs about hotels in Edinburgh

A Feast for the Senses

A city of heritage, heart and of course Hogmanay, Scotland’s capital is vibrant and edgy. Whether or not you come for one of its many festivals, Edinburgh is quite simply a feast for the senses.

The wealth of Edinburgh sights ranges from Holyrood Palace to the Botanical Gardens, Princes Street to the Royal Mile. Overseeing them all is majestic Edinburgh Castle. Be there at sunset on a clear day to see the city below bathed in a warm, orange glow. Simply stunning.

Wandering the streets, the smell of fish and chips wafts by, with the unique twist of salt ‘n’ sauce – a must-try variation on this favourite dish. Follow it up with a smooth whisky and you’ll start to feel like a local.

For a taste of Scottish culture, a kilt-wearing busker often plays the bagpipes on Waverley Bridge, while traditional folk music can be heard in some Old Town pubs. Complete your stay with a rugby match at Murrayfield or a round at one of the city’s 14 golf clubs, and you’ll have the true Edinburgh experience.

Whether you are looking for hotels near Edinburgh Airport or accommodations in the city center, Booking.com has a great range to choose from.

the vibes of the city are immaculate, it is very small yet precious, and I would recommend booking some sort of tour to explore its many closes and find out more about its interesting history, while also visiting it in a "smarter" way.

Relaxed..full of history..friendly ..always something to do or see. Like a ancient city you hear of in novels amd fairy tales. Ate in the oldest pub Ate veg haggis and mash exceptional Managed to do all what Edinburgh is about and more. I wished Mcdonalds was not about though as far too easy to have one. Blame my lack of resistance on that as really wanted everything to be authentic. Easy to get around by bus or foot. As it was out of season I received one to one attention as sometimes was the only person to be there ie only person a talk was given to in the Scottish Parliament.

Love Edinburgh, totally understand wanting to improve the air quality, however, we were travelling in a non compliant vehicle, therefore like other cities we thought we could pay a LEZ charge on our visit, however this option isn't available, you have to receive a Penalty charge notice. Therefore my Mercedes sprinter van of only 80k miles and me, won't be going to Edinburgh again.

Although the winter wind makes walking around difficult, it is a very pleasant city. I plan to visit again in warmer weather. The proximity of the tourist attractions makes sightseeing easy. Most places can be reached on foot. The Royal Mile and the Gothic atmosphere of the buildings are quite impressive. The Scott Monument was also very striking.

The Royal Scots Club is situated in New town area, next to a beautiful park. It is within a very short walking distance from city centre and all main attractions, as well as close to the tram and bus to and from the airport, and yet it is situated in a really peaceful neighborhood. The hotel is lovely, a special place with history and character, not just a chain hotel. If you wish to add a little something extra to your stay in wonderful Edinburgh, this hotel is worth trying.

There are several room options. We choose one with a private bathroom. It's small but has everything to sleep and shower and has free parking outside making it relatively cheap for the city. There's good bus links right outside and it takes about 20-30 mins to most city centre locations. It's best for people looking for a stop off point to go out in Edinburgh
