Like the room so much. Dont be fooled into thinking that not having a separate room as bathroom is a bad thing. This design is wonderful. We didnt have to wait for each other at all for 6 days and 5 nights. In other hotels, you wait for using the toilet, taking a bath, brushing teeth, getting ready, make up etc. But here 2 person can do anything they need to do at the same time with this design. Hats off for the architects. There is a door separating the bed area with the rest. Each cubicle for bath and toilet has well insulated magnetic doors and great ventilation, no bad smell or moisture at all after using them. No noise from the toilet when being used, as it has one door of the cubicle itself and a second door separating the bed area, it is even better than a regular bathroom. Two very spacious wardrobes with many many hangers. A proper iron and an ironing board. The fullest mini bar and drinks stand ever with normal street prices. Complimentary biscuits, coffe teas etc plenty as well. Been to many luxury hotels, never was this good and easy for two to stay in. Definitely best for travelling couples. Rest of the hotel is very good as well. Breakfast was wonderful. Buffet and a la carte ordering as well. Rich selection. Location absolutely the best. Room was very quiet. House keeping exceptional, twice a day. Decor all around the hotel is fabolous. Attention to detail is great. Luxury and chic. Dont think its just for young people because of its fashionable design. Its more luxurious than the boring big brand 5 star so called “luxurios” kinds. Definitely for people from all age groups. I said 6 days and 5 nights, because they let us check in early at 10:30 even without letting them know that we will arrive early and charged us nothing for that. Definitely the most customer satisfaction oriented hotel ever. Staff was perfect as well. Would definitely come again and recommend.

FAQs about hotels in Edinburgh

A Feast for the Senses

A city of heritage, heart and of course Hogmanay, Scotland’s capital is vibrant and edgy. Whether or not you come for one of its many festivals, Edinburgh is quite simply a feast for the senses.

The wealth of Edinburgh sights ranges from Holyrood Palace to the Botanical Gardens, Princes Street to the Royal Mile. Overseeing them all is majestic Edinburgh Castle. Be there at sunset on a clear day to see the city below bathed in a warm, orange glow. Simply stunning.

Wandering the streets, the smell of fish and chips wafts by, with the unique twist of salt ‘n’ sauce – a must-try variation on this favourite dish. Follow it up with a smooth whisky and you’ll start to feel like a local.

For a taste of Scottish culture, a kilt-wearing busker often plays the bagpipes on Waverley Bridge, while traditional folk music can be heard in some Old Town pubs. Complete your stay with a rugby match at Murrayfield or a round at one of the city’s 14 golf clubs, and you’ll have the true Edinburgh experience.

Whether you are looking for hotels near Edinburgh Airport or accommodations in the city center, Booking.com has a great range to choose from.

Edinburgh is a great city, full of history, wonderful architecture and amazing landscape. We’ve been a couple of times and have completed a tour of the castle and a food walking tour. Walking tours are the best way to experience Edinburgh and learn some of its history. There is the usual tourist trash shops here and there but also plenty of high quality stores, restaurants and bars.

Beautiful city fantastic architecture and a really pleasant environment. Some great places to eat and drink and the hospitality was first class.Places visited The Caste, Greyfrias Bobby, Frankenstein Pub, Dean Village, Cafe Royal, Twenty’s Restaurant, The Ivy on the Square. Also did the Witches tour. So easy to navigate around on foot as well but bring some good walking shoes because you will get those steps in.

We loved Edinburgh, I would have loved a longer stay to do and see more things. Transportation around and to the city from the airport was very easy. We had no trouble getting around. Those cobbled streets are rather rough on your luggage though lol. We toured Edinburgh Castle and did a day tour up towards Stirling. Again absolutely breathtaking scenery even with the daily rain. Invest in a raincoat you won't be disappointed. Ladies dont bother worrying about fixing your hair. The wind is going to redo that style for you. Put it up and go.

Hotel is very close to the Gyle Centre tram stop from where it’s easy to get to the city centre or the airport. Ticket machine at the stop. Budget friendly (£5 per 24 hours) car park option if you don’t want to pay more in the city centre or you just can’t be bothered to find a place to park in Edinburgh. 24/7 reception makes checking in and out very convenient. Room is compact and has everything you need from the budget stay: hot shower and comfortable bed. I would say it’s very comfortable for 1 adult and ok for 2 adults.

Hotel was modern, excellent facilities and location. Swimming pool was fab. Few minutes walk to tram line which takes your directly into Edinburgh City or From Edinburgh airport. KFC & Krispy Kreme Donuts directly across road. We had our car with us so we had chosen here for the car parking facilities rather than city centre, however I would have no hesitation staying here again if I was to fly over as tram line is so so convenient and cheap.

The Glasshouse Hotel provides excellent, high quality, Edinburgh city centre location accommodation. From our arrival until departure we were made very welcome, nothing was too difficult and our every need was accommodated for. Concierge David B and Issac were a font of knowledge and provided valuable insight to inform our short break. Equally, all the receptionist staff throughout our visit.
