BF was superb and the service excellent!
The place has a beautiful scenery. If you care about scenery only, I recommend this place. Otherwise, is overpriced for the type of accommodation it offers.
This family house in the Douro Valley is surrounded by vineyards and offers a seasonal outdoor pool. Its modern rooms are air-conditioned and have a small veranda with pool views.

We loved this place. It’s a beautiful, quiet family-run home with a few guest rooms and apartments. The property is behind a gate, with a lovely breakfast room and pool-side lounging. Quinta de Bomfim is a short walk up the road if you want dining or wine tasting. The service from the family is wonderful…one of our party was ill and the owner brought her homemade soup! We felt well taken care of and highly recommend a stay here.

The property is located in the upper side of the valley just near Lamego. The quinta is far from the village and on a quiet lovely place. It has a good spa, a swimming pool and a public cozy place with pool table and games.
The breakfast is good.
We had a 3 rooms and the villa. The rooms and the villa are big and comfortable.

The property is beautiful, serene and very private. Great place to relax. The rooms were a good size, there was a common area that you could sit and relax in, a nice kitchen area for making meals. The air conditioning worked really well too.

It was quiet, relaxing, and a short walk to the City center. The hosts were kind and helpful and gracious. There was fresh breakfast eaten outside each morning with a view of the beautiful Douro Valley. A lovely stay with the best hosts in a private cottage on a farm. One of the best vacations I've ever taken.

This place is a real treasure. Read about its history on their web site. It was peaceful. A beautiful spot from which we could explore the area. The staff were wonderful seeing if we needed help with wine tastings and meals. The beautiful and tasty breakfast at the Casa set us up for exploring.

I can't say enough good about this place and the staff. If you're looking for a quiet spot to stay with clean, simple rooms and a friendly staff, this is the place. To be clear, though, if you're looking for fancy rooms and facilities and want to be pampered, go elsewhere. For us, this place was perfect. We wanted a clean, basic place to spend a few nights. We booked the two room home to give us a little space to spread out after a few weeks on the road and the place was perfect for that. The staff were incredible welcoming and generous. We were greeted on arrival with a glass of their fantastic white port. We enjoyed a walk through the vineyard and some birdwatching and flower sniffing led by Jaqueline the dog :-) We also enjoyed several great conversations with Cesar, the owner. He's led an interesting life and, as the fourth generation to own Quinta Marrocos, he's got a lot of family history to share. Diana led us on a fantastic winery tour that culminated in a dinner with pairings of their wine and port. We also booked a day tour of the Duoro with Andre. His tour was easily the highlight of our three week trip. He has great knowledge of the area, history, and culture of Portugal and led us to several great wineries to taste wines and ports along with a few scenic and historical sites. I could go on and on but suffice it to say our decision to spend a few nights here was one of the best we've made lately. Quinta de Marrocos isn't for everyone but, if you want a nice, comfortable stay in the midst of a small, working winery, staffed by great people, this is a great choice.
Quinta de S.Bernardo - Winery & Farmhouse is offering accommodations in Mesão Frio. Among the various facilities are a garden, a terrace, as well as a shared lounge.

This place is absolutely magical. The property is stunning, but it's the character of the place and the vibe that made it special to me. You feel pampered and in a luxury environment without it being stuffy. You can casually meander down to the river and grab a kayak, take some yoga mats to the deck, or take bikes out and head to the nearest vineyard. Plus excellent food, service, and views. They got all of the details just right.
For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
Perfect! The receptionists are kindly, the grape farm view is good, swimming pool is good, breakfast is good, we are 3 people only but we can use whole house! 10 minutes driveway to market and restaurant.
3 dogs and 1 cat are so cute!
A very spacious apartment located near the center of town. Easy to spread out and get comfortable including a nice couch, TV and kitchen appliances. The tapas restaurant recommended by the owner in walking distance was the highlight of Lamego with fresh farm-to-table food. Get an early start to the sights in this conveniently located city in the Douro Valley.
When registering our stay we were referred to do it at Hotel Rural Case Viscondes Varzie in Amarmar and we stayed there instead. We enjoyed their incredible hospitality in the Vicount's private lair.
Best host, personalised and welcoming.
Very cosy and familiar atmosphere.
If you want to stay in a real rural aristocratic house, this is the place. You are in the middle of a typical farm with all the history and tradition associated. Don’t miss the dinner, with good and traditional food from the region.
A real working farm stay, in a family home of intelligent, open, kind people. Homemade jams and lovely bedding! The house is old fashioned in the best possible sense of the term. A non-hotel in the best way you could imagine it! We loved the peace of it all, the beautiful old house, the views, and the wonderful owners…Thank you for such a memorable time, and your kindness…
When you stay, do take the restaurant advice!!
It's a small cozy boutique aguri tourismo in the middle of vineyard. The view was absolutely stunning through out the day. The staff was very friendly. We loved the breakfast in the kitchen which made me feel like I was invited to a farm house.
Beautiful rustic hotel on a beautiful farm. Nature lovers paradise. Nice big rooms, old but gold! Loved our stay here, will reccomend! Staff was very friendly
I dream about the bread, the breakfast was divine! Quinta de Reciao is in a very special location, by a stream and at the beginning of their vineyards. It is a an ancient restored farmhouse . They arranged a wonderful wine tasting at the wine museum. And they made us a glorious dinner. We had a really great meal in Rua restaurant. We loved everything about our stay.
Delicious food from the farm, delicious wine from the winery, beautifully curated room decor and delightful, kind staff. Really a remarkable, do-not-miss experience. A completely authentic and lovely farm stay.
The most beautiful property! Incredible scenery. Breakfast spread was fabulous and very generous portions in a farmhouse style breakfast room. So cute. The property owners were very responsive and helped book our dinner reservations as well as provide a taxi service contact which was so helpful when we planned our trip. Overall we had the most wonderful time. Would absolutely stay again and recommend!
