Breakfast was exceptional with the various options to choose from starting with your fresh fruit and yogurt, to your deli meats and cheeses with options of croissants or crackers, and then you have your warm breakfast which is eggs any way you want with delicious accompaniments like bacon, sausage, beans, veg, etc and ending it off with something sweet like pancakes, danishes, muffins etc. It is really amazing. The room is excellent as well, everything you may need. You feel safe and secure especially for a female travelling alone which could make or break your trip. I will definitely be booking here for every work trip moving forward.

    Generally a clean place. Well defined litter boxes and an organized traffic flow. A well maintained place by the concerned municipality. Well done. However, some shopping areas are a security risk to Travellers. Need to have detailed security in such places.

    Joburg is great for shopping.

    Joburg is great for shopping. City and it’s history is also interesting. City Sightseeing Bus was very interesting, and it has a good stop at the Apartheid Museum. Walking is not recommended in Joburg but Uber Black is very cheap and safe. People are very friendly. We only had 3 days in Joburg and this really wasn’t long enough. We wished we had at least 5 days to see the city more and do more shopping!

    Did hop on off bus with Soweto addition, so informative, but didn’t leave enough time for the Apartheid Museum. In hindsight, should have just taken an Uber directly to the Apartheid Museum as it took 4 hours to explore well, needing a break for lunch, so possibly a day’s activity. It was a very informative insight into the history of the region. Felt quite secure and safe, but mainly on tours or in Ubers. Amazing city.

    Johannesburg is good place for shopping, in Joburg you get everything that you need. I went to Dragon City to buy some hair at a very affordable price. Visited Randburg and ate at a Chinese restaurant…..food was nice!!

    I loved the galleries in Rosebank and the friendly helpful locals there. The centre not so much, although I did an excellent tour of the street art with Lufuno from Withlocals. I used Bolt taxis everywhere which were cheap, efficient and safe.

    Traveled here for my husbands birthday and it was absolutely amazing. Our favorite spots were Sandton city, Mall of Africa and Rosebank mall were we did some shopping. Montecasino which made us feel like we were walking in the streets of Italy. Soweto Towers where my husband did Bungee Jumping. Museum of illusions and the game zone at Rose bank mall. Also went to gold reef city We ate at our hotel (Southern Sun Sandton), Tashas and Tang Getting around is generally easy because there's Uber and our hotel offered free shuttle to sandton city every 30 minutes

    This is my first trip to South Africa, Johannesburg. And stayed at Sandton, Really a nice location. Hotel, business center, Train and shopping centers are nearby . I no aware security issues, but need to careful when you go out, Reception staff should be more friendly manner, Breakfast is fine, but feel congested. One manager during reception no smile nothing, but another one arranged my shuffle service to train. So for 60% good 40% not bad. Can not complaint.

    As a foreign from Botswana firstly we know there is lotnof car theft in south africa 🇿🇦 but Mint Express Melrose comforted me those fears have been washed away I trust the hotel security. There is safety, the rooms are affordable and clean you sleep like a baby .not forget the staff 👌 Most of my business trips are in Pretoria but I will drive all the way to Bramley Street to Melrose for a stay ,passed 7months been doing tat

    This area of Johannesburg is simply horrid and all other hotels have dreadful reviews. I chose the most expensive hotel with the best reviews. I was check in and given my key to a room that had not been cleaned. The manager was so apologetic and upgraded me to another room. Also not been cleaned!!! The manager did her best to compensate me and that was appreciated.

    Its a luxury hotel and very affordable ,we booked to attend a Chris brown concert our park and ride was just outside the hotel😊we went out to have fun news cafe is also close to the hotel,spend the whole day but the pools we got free towels and sunscreens,the bar served us the best cocktails and nice music🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
